Wikia is looking for a Games Industry Veteran to spearhead the continued growth of Wikia's Games Vertical. Wikia Games Vertical currently attracts over 14M readers per month and is the #2 Games Publisher according to Comscore. This is a highly impactful role in one of the fastest growing social media companies in the gaming space.

- Develop strategic growth plans for gaming vertical through content development, marketing, partnerships, and social media/PR outreach.
- Manage a team of producers & marketing managers to develop relationships with Wikia's largest games communities and kick-start new content areas.
- Develop and execute external grass-roots marketing campaigns (both online and off)
- Be the voice of Wikia Gaming both internally and within the larger games industry.
- Work closely with Product teams to conceptualize, test, implement features to improve and deepen user engagement as well as attract new gamers
- Work closely with Sales & Partners to develop highly integrated, high performing brand integrations.
About you Edit
- 7-10 years of Editorial and Marketing experience in the Games Industry. Experience with online communities a plus.
- Experience working cross-functionality across sales, marketing and product development.
- A Strong marketing toolkit with experience executing and directing online marketing & social media campaigns, user events, PR, and external partner relations
- An entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to thrive in chaos with little direction and alot of rope
- A Gamer at heart, you can predict the hits before they are published and are considered ‘’’the’’’ gaming expert in your circle.
