Content Producer, Food & Drink
Are you a self-proclaimed foodie, recipe collector, or drink connoisseur? Do you like to write? Do you like to read or edit websites, blogs or wikis? Are you super excited about gourmet food and custom beverages? Wikia is searching for a talented Content Producer with a passion for all things Food and Drink.
What you will be doing:
- Writing blog posts, features and articles for our Food & Drink wikis such as Healthy Recipes, Japanese Recipes, Wine, and Cocktails
- Maximizing SEO on existing and up and coming Food & Drink wikis
- Creating and executing online giveaways and contests to build community contribution
- Becoming a genuine member of the communities you work with, engaging new and old users alike
- Develop an understanding of different types of communities and how to best present information to them
- Provide support on additional marketing and content projects, as needed
About You:
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Love engaging with online communities
- Not afraid of technology, wiki text or html/css experience a plus
- You are able to work well in groups and value community interaction
- Must be comfortable working in a high-energy, start-up environment
- Bonus points for experience with wiki text editing, social networking outreach, SEO, or online marketing

Wikia is a fast growing, consumer-publishing platform where millions of passionate fans come to discover, create and share a shocking abundance of information on thousands of topics. We are top 100 web property located in the SOMA district of San Francisco.
About the Role: This is a contract position, hours are flexible, though we would like a minimum of 30 hours/week based out of our SOMA office in San Francisco. Working remotely may be possible for exceptionally qualified candidates.
