Entertainment Editor (San Francisco, CA) Do you enjoy writing for an audience; can you have a conversation about any topic under the sun? Are you an Entertainment junkie, do you rush out to see all the new movies, do you watch all the hot shows; Glee, Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, and Breaking Bad to name a few? Would you like to join a fantastic content team and be the voice for thousands of active communities? If the answer is an enthusiastic "yes" to these questions, then we hope to hear from you.
About You:
- Passion and knowledge of all things pop culture, especially the latest TV and movie offerings
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excited to work in a start up environment
- Work well in groups and value community interaction
- Bonus points for experience with wiki text editing, social networking outreach, SEO, or online marketing
Responsibilities:
- Writing articles for various communities about topics they find interesting and pertinent
- Searching out relevant information and presenting it in the voice of the community
- Becoming a genuine member of the communities you work with
- Develop an understanding of different types of communities and how to best present information to them
- Provide support on additional marketing and content projects, as needed
About the Role:
This is a contract position, hours are flexible, though we would like a minimum of 30 hours/week based out of our SOMA office in San Francisco. Working remotely may be possible for exceptionally qualified candidates.
