Are you a self-proclaimed foodie, recipe collector, or drink connoisseur? Do you like to write? Do you like to read or edit websites, blogs or wikis? Are you super excited about gourmet food and custom beverages?

Wikia's Lifestyle team is looking for an energetic and highly motivated intern to work closely with members of Wikia's Content team to create fabulous and well-organized Food & Drink content.

Would you like real-world experience working for a company on the cutting edge of Web 2.0? Looking to grow your social media and online marketing skills? This is a great opportunity for any recent grads or college seniors looking to get hands on experience.

What We're Looking ForEdit

We’re looking for one (or two) interns, hopefully with one (or more) of the following interests:

  • General Foodie: Are you a self-proclaimed foodie, recipe collector, and Food Network junkie? Are you are familiar with online food communities and understand the psyche of the obsessive recipe collector?
  • Cocktail: Are you on top of the new cocktail trends and spend more time talking to the bartender about the freshness of his ingredients than the bar scene? Are sampling artisanal cocktails your idea of a night in?
  • Beer: Do you know your barley and hops? Have you gone to beer tastings and school all of your friends on the finer points of look, swirl, sniff and sip?
  • Wine: Are you a weekend sommelier? Do you spend your free time hanging around Napa or Sonoma wineries? Do you know all of the correct wine pairings for every meal?
  • Coffee: Are you a third wave coffee-ista? Were you first in line for extra caffeine enhanced drip-coffee at shops? When you travel, is your first concern where you can pick up a fresh cup of Intelligentsia or Stumptown Coffee?

  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Punctual and professional
  • Solid communication and writing skills
