Are you a self-proclaimed gamer who understands games? Are you as comfortable playing a triple-A release as you are a social game on Facebook? Do you have a desire to get into the gaming industry?
Wikia's Content team is looking for an energetic and highly motivated intern to work closely with the Gaming Category Manager to help draft a social and casual gaming strategy for the upcoming year. The internship will be a great way to gain valuable writing and organizational skills as well as a way to network with developers and PR/marketing representatives within the industry.
About You

- Deep and varied knowledge of video games
- Excellent organizational and online research abilities
- Punctual and professional
- Solid communication and writing skills
- Excited to work in a start up environment
- Experience with wiki text editing, social networking outreach, SEO, or online marketing a bonus
About the Internship

- Create and maintain a master list of notable social and casual games (both released and upcoming)
- Identify existing wikis related to said titles and compile list denoting their status and potential
- Create release calendar of releases across all platforms and genres
- Perform outreach to publishers and developers
- Aid content manager with general duties related to Wikia Gaming
Time-frame: June through September (flexible, but at least 10 weeks)
Note: This is an unpaid internship based out of Wikia’s San Francisco office. All applicants must be able to work at least 25 hours a week between the hours of 10-5 each weekday (schedule TBD). We are happy to work with you on course credit, write a letter of recommendation and work around your schedule.
