User Experience LeadEdit

Wikia is looking for a passionate and talented User Experience Designer to lead Wikia in the next phase of growth. As the Head of Design, you will develop and guide the evolution of Wikia platform interface. Reaching over 30 Million unqiues, Wikia is positioned to be one of the top 50 websites on the web in 2010.

What you will be doingEdit

• Working closely with Product and Engineering to create scalable intuitive user interfaces using prototypes, mock-ups, storyboards, and industry best practices.
• Leveraging internal data and conducting usability research to quickly learn and iterate.
• Defining and documenting style guidelines, site standards, conventions, and policies
• Designing and implementing A/B tests to increase conversion, discovery and contribution

About youEdit

• 5-7 years of experience at a top consumer web property, leading consumer web product and user interaction design with a proven track record of designing engaging & delightful consumer experiences.
• Expert-level knowledge of best web practices in information architecture and user-centered design techniques
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with web technologies ( Javascript, Html, CSS, Cross-browser, mobile). Familiar with agile software methodologies
• Fluent in design tools such as. Visio Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative environment
• Though leader who enjoys pushing the envelope.
