Responsibilities: Edit
- Define Marketing Solutions team goals and initiatives. Prioritize team project roadmap with larger company strategy in mind.
- Understand the needs and interests of the Wikia audience, marketer and business to inform advertising product and custom sponsorship development.
- Serve as product expert on behalf of the sales and marketing teams - with an in-depth understanding of site limitations, functionality and infrastructure.
Responsible for the development of all sales tools and marketing collateral - including core pitch, media kit and rate card.
- Work with ad operations, program managers and product teams to specify requirements and secure resources for new development.
- Oversee virtual teams through the building and launch process.

Experience Required: Edit
- Minimum of 8+ years of marketing or advertising product development. Advertising agency, magazine or online publishing experience a plus.
- Ability to lead teams, providing direct reports with a clear understanding of individual, team and company-wide objectives.
- Project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. Communicates effectively, understanding the nuances of his/her audience.
- Client-service focused, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Solid understanding of the basic principles of Marketing (including Research, Public Relations, Branding, Pricing and Product Development) as well as sales and selling cycles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Education: Edit
- Bachelor degree required. MBA preferred.
