Wikia is seeking a soup to nuts developer to rapidly prototype new product ideas and to lead development in the Agile team. We're never short on ideas and we're looking for the right type of developer to help us quickly experiment.
Responsibilities Edit
- Work with a small, core team on various new product ideas
- Build prototypes and workable products, often as a one-man-show
- Quickly iterate as ideas change
Qualifications Edit
Wikia is powered by LAMP + MediaWiki and uses the jQuery Javascript library. We are a top-100 web property and we have a strong focus on efficiency and scalability.
- Semantic markup
- Proficient with CSS and Javascript (jQuery experience preferable)
- Strong PHP skills
- MediaWiki experience preferable
- Comfortable working with SVN
