Wikia, a leading collaborative publishing platform, is currently seeking a Web Front-end Engineer to work in our Development Center in downtown Poznań. We are looking for a modern CSS/JS poet, who can express beauty in simple yet brilliant code (does not have to rhyme).

The Job

• Developing new features, expanding the possibilities of MediaWiki
• Refactoring and enhancing existing code, improving performance and security
• Turning mock-ups into reality (also known as magic)

Must know…

• How to write semantically correct HTML
• How to use CSS in a clean & efficient manner !important
• Basic trends in modern website design (and how to apply them)
• JavaScript
• English (if you can understand this job ad, you're probably good)

Bonus points

You get bonus points if you:

• Know a bit of PHP
• Know the new stuff: HTML5 and CSS3
• Grasp Object Oriented JavaScript
• Can "write less, do more" with jQuery
• Dream in JavaScript (nightmares count too)
