Xelor

From Dofus

Jump to: navigation, search

Xelor
Male Xelor Xelor symbol Female Xelor
The disciples of Xelor's Sandglass play with time warps. They can slow down or speed up enemies or allies. Their god is apparently clock-shaped. His followers can expect to live longer than ordinary human beings - they have an average life expectancy of 150 years.

Followers of Xelor or Xelor's Sandglass are manipulators of time and space. They can slow an enemy to a crawl, and warp across the battlefield in the blink of an eye. This class specializes in stalling monsters and preventing them from dealing out damage until other players kill them.

Xelors can do some massive ranged damage at medium range but have very few buffs for the party making them easy to kill if you can survive their barrage and AP steal. Be prepared to survive it twice, however, because Xelors can teleport away when enemies get too close.

Agi 1~20 21~40 41~60 61~80 81~∞ See Xelor/Agility

The characteristics most closely associated with this class are:

  • Agility - This is an alternate build for Xelors who wish to max out spells like Frostbite, Shriveling, and Moon Hammer. This build is not recommended for first time players, and for effectiveness, it MUST be fully scrolled before adding characteristic points to it.
  • Wisdom - For Xelors intending to use AP reducing spells, this stat is reccommended, but only at high levels. Leveling faster, nearly always taking AP, and reflecing a good amount with counter and blinding protection. This build does little actual damage, but can be useful in group battles to take AP.

Other characteristics:

  • Vitality - A recommended stat for Xelors once the second soft Intelligence cap is reached. Xelors start out with only 42 HP at level 1. (Usually boosted through the use of items or Vitality scrolls.).
  • Strength - Not particularly recommended. Those who wish to boost Xelor's Punch might consider raising this stat after scrolling Strength. Strength Xelors are notorious for using Neutral or Earth based hammer/daggers.
  • Chance - Not particularly recommended. Those who wish to boost Clock might consider raising this stat after scrolling Chance.
  • Wisdom - Ineffective/Dead build due to the implementation of the Blinding Protection/Counter and shield nerf. Some high leveled players raise this stat after full scrolling. Note: the build is not totally dead, as you can still use Blinding Protection and Counter in intervals. It has just been taken down a peg from its original glory.

[edit] Class spells

With update 1.17, all Xelor spell have 10% probability to add 1 AP to the caster, this also applies to teamates when casting spells like blinding protection on them.

The class spells available to members of the Xelor class are:

Image:Xelor-Icon-Spell-Teleportation.jpg Teleportation 13 Allows the Xelor to travel to another square within range. Usually used for retreat, but sometimes to get close to a fleeing opponent.

An AoE (Area of effect) Fire spell that deals moderate damage and AP loss
Image:Xelor-Icon-Spell-Time_Theft.jpg Time Theft 31 Steals AP from the target, granting them to the Xelor. Since the spell costs more AP than it grants, it is useful only to supplement AP loss from slow down or sandglass, both of which are only useful on a target once per turn.
Image:Xelor-Icon-Spell-Homing_Hand.jpg Homing Hand 36 image:water.png
Water
Creates a Needle with 40 MP which will pick an opponent to attack. Its attack destroys itself.
Image:Xelor-Icon-Spell-Devotion.jpg Devotion 42 Grants AP to the xelor and any others standing in a cross 2 squares in each direction. The AP lasts for only two turns.
Image:Xelor-Icon-Spell-Flight.jpg Flight 48 Allows the Xelor to move a single square; useful for retreat when Teleport has already been used or the Xelor wishes to use less AP in retreating so he can still attack. Critical failure chance is high when the spell is low level.
Image:Xelor-Icon-Spell-Loss_of_Motivation.jpg Loss of Motivation 54 Reduces the chance of an enemy resisting AP reduction.
Image:Xelor-Icon-Spell-Blinding_Protection.jpg Blinding Protection 60 Increases chance of avoiding AP losses up to 60% and reflects damage (Wisdom spell)
Image:Xelor-Icon-Spell-Mummification.jpg Mummification 70 Changes the Xelor's skin, +100% ap resists, gains damage but loses 2 MP for the duration of the spell. Also reduces enemies damage, based on intelligence the more intelligence the more damage reduce.

[edit] Builds

Builds are being reorganized. 'Old' lists of builds can be found on the Experimental Builds page as an interim solution. See Dofus:Community Portal/Class Guides for a discussion about the changes.

°=Not recommended, +=Longshot build (require high investment), ++=Fun but challenging build, +++=Proven, solid build

Element(s)RatingNotes
Pure elemental builds
Strength-based ++ Weapon skill and neutral Hammer/Wand
Intelligence-based +++ Probably the easiest build to go.
Chance/wisdom-based ++ Requires wisdom and chance to be scrolled to 101, weak at low lvls, excellent support and great solo character at high lvls
Agility-based ++ Requires agility to be scrolled at least to 50, great with moon hammer
Hybrid elemental builds
Other builds
Wisdom/agility or strength or intelligence-based ++ Relies on counter/blinding protection, and the spells associated with it's element
Wisdom/Intelligence-based ++ Requires wisdom scrolling to 101

[edit] Training dopple

To fight a dopple, bring the required item to Marlonebrando Peule, inside the Xelor class temple (3, 1)

Training dopple data
Dopple level Item needed Notes
20 Magical Cure Very easy. Some HP and decent attack will help.
40 Small Twiggy Hammer 7AP or higher recommended. Try to avoid standing in a Line of Sight from the dopple.
60 Mushd mud High wisdom helpful for avoiding AP drains. You'll need a high damage attack to overcome its Counter. High initiative may help you prepare for your attacks. Will Drain 2 AP Minimum, and then attack with Dark Ray.
80 Plisskenskin Be warned; it has 400 health, Counter and Devotion, and has an attack which hits for more than 100.
100 Bandages Extremely difficult. Has a powerful reflection with Counter and Blinding Protection. Has well over 100% AP loss resistance. Often uses the spells Clock, and Xelor's Punch which deal a considerable amount of damage. Can easily drain 3 to 7 AP if you don't have decent AP loss resistance.

[edit] Trivia

Reading Xelor backwards gives you Rolex, which is a watch brand.
