[edit] Early Years

July 26, 2006 is the date Staceyy was discovered by talent scout Dan. After the discovery she was quickly signed to TG Records where she recorded her first CD, "The Album". She recorded multiple demos until they successfully found a sound for Staceyy. As the albums release drew near problems aroused, Staceyy's name proved to be not memorable or unique, so after much consideration a new name was created, Poodey. The album was originally to be titled "The Lost Soul", "Hidden Identity" but was later changed to simply "The Album". The first single "Let's Start An Affair" was sent to pop radio, while tracks "Over The Moon" and "Blowjob" were sent to the Hip-Hop/R&B stations. "Let's Start An Affair" was not as successful as hoped, however "Over The Moon" and "Blowjob" both gained public interest, but TG Records was careless and released the album to little promotion. The album flopped miserably charting at a very low #99 in the US and it failed to chart in the UK. TG Records decided to re-release the album with 7 leftover tracks, and enlisted the help of Nana's manager to create a new single and promotion scheme. Unfortunately the scheme flopped and Poodey failed to achieve any great success. On October 24th 2006, Poodey was dropped from TG Records.

[edit] Whorific Era

It wasn't long before Poodey was resigned; this time she was signed to the successful fake artists label Whorific Records. She signed a deal with them and began working on the follow-up to her first album, this happened quite quickly and the follow-up was named Headcase and was a throwback and mimic of how life had been treating Poodey. It was given the release date November 14th 2006 release date, but was then pushed back to December 13th 2006 and was later scrapped due to lack of interest. One single materialized from the CD, especially in the UK, "Crazy". Poodey began to rework some of the tracks from Headcase and blend them into something else and created some unique cuts. She worked on 3-10 songs a day and eventually created her signature hit Without You. Poodey personally hated this song, but when Dan first heard it, he demanded it released. It gave Poodey her first shot of success. Not long afterwards, Poodey completed her 17-track CD. Around the completion of the CD, a conspiracy (made by TG Records) was announced that Poodey had been killed by Lisa (an apparent obsessed MCE fan), these rumors were put to rest when Poodey dedicated her album to her apparent death - The Legacy. The release of The Legacy was brought forward due to the radio play of "Without You", it has been deemed her signal hit and it continued play nowadays. The second single was due to be "Happy", however due to the airplay of "Rebellion" being extremely high, Happy was released to the UK, then the USA. It became her most successful single. Top 5 in 17 different counties in the world. Poodey had made her mark. There was a dispute over the next release, Poodey wanted "Give" to be the next single, while her manager wanted "Oh! Lancy!", he felt it would appeal to young girls. And that it did. It became her 4th top 20 hit in the USA. Poodey was given the rights to release a charity single, originally the P!nk cover "U & Ur Hand" was going to be used, it was even sent to radios. But Poodey's manager Dan sensed it wouldn't be emotional enough, so the song "You'll See" was recorded and released. And what a good idea, it became Poodey 4th top 10 single. The success of "You'll See" stopped any interest in "Oh! Lancy!" which stayed on the charts at #12. The final single from "The Legacy" was a double-a-side release of "Give" & "U & Ur Hand". At the point of release, there was a lack of promotion sources for the FAG's. It did manage a top 30 chart position however.

[edit] Facelift

By the release of "Give" & "Ur & Ur Hand" came to a close, the recording schedule for Poodey's 3rd CD commenced. On Poodey's official MySpace, the album title was revealed to be "Facelift" and due for release in early September. The release of the album's first single "Shake That" began getting airplay in the US territory. The single "I Can't Do This (4 You)" was given to the UK. An album track leaked and began getting success "One Minute" scored Poodey her 5th top 10 single. It could be considered her most successful, due to limited release and lack of video. Ironically, the promotion of "Shake That" was stopped due to the success of "One Minute" and the lack of interest in FAGs at this point. "Facelift" was eventually canceled. At this point, Poodey was furious with her management, and posted regularly how she had left her manager and record label. She fired her manager and began clubbing, she was caught by the police for DUI. She was not sentenced, but the experience effected her deeply and she began re-writing her 3rd album. It featured re-worked tracks from "Facelift" and included new songs, no track list was ever given, but three titles were rumored: "Break Me", "Tomorrow Was My Night" & "Guilty". "Break Me" was later released to Poodey's MySpace, and later transformed into the album track "Voodoo". The album was titled "The Trial" and was due for release early December. As the release was coming up, Poodey re-hired her manager Dan and a mutual agreement decided to scrap "The Trial".

[edit] Crocodile Tears

Poodey collabarated with various artists, for her unreleased 3rd CD. She recorded 3 tracks a day and over 20 demos were recorded for the era alone (not mentioning the songs recorded from previous unreleased CDS). The first single was originally due to be "Voodoo", it was already well-known. However, it was far from complete for the release date. The song "Wanna" was given a release date December 5th. The song premiered on Myspace and was an intiail success and even charted on the bubbling under charts at #105. This was on Myspace plays alone. The song wasn't sent to radios, but began surfacing itself on the charts. The video premiered on TRL, a month later and "Wanna" peaked at #35. It's quick dicline forced Poodey to release a second single from the still-unfinished CD. Their were two selections for the 2nd single: the R&B song "Trouble" or the rock-pop song "I Feel Love", the later was chosen with the first track remaining an unused demo. The release of "I Feel Love" burned up the radio, the song debuted at #18 in the US. Eventually climbing to #1. Poodey's first #1. It stayed at the top for 3 weeks. The album was complete by then and the only thing missing was an album title, Poodey's management were considering Confused Control or 2019. But a poll on Poodey's myspace confirmed the album title to be "Crocodile Tears". The album was released February 19th 2008 and debuted at #4 on the US album chart, #1 in the UK. The single "Wanna" started gaining on the billboard chart as well. Due to the success in the UK, Poodey re-released the single "Shake That" in the UK as a double-a-side single with "My Time Has Come" [with Dan]. The later isn't included on the album, the song was for charity Sports Relief, it charted at #2 on downloads alone. While promoting the CD at the Hard Rock cafe, Poodey met 50 Cent and they began a whirlpool relationship. A month later, Poodey was spotted with a new man and claimed in an issue of People that she had signed a restraining order against 50 Cent. Shortly afterwards, she announced her engagement to Carl Richardson. Poodey announced her next singles would be "Mobile", for the USA & Australia, and "Angels Of The Night" for the UK, worldwide & USA mainstream. "Angels Of The Night" was remixed and managed to become another top 20 hit for Poodey worldwide. It was later decided that "Mobile" would be cancelled, so Poodey could put focus into her 4th studio album. Throughout recording, Poodey lended vocals to up and coming Youtuber singer Jonathan for the Madonna-cover "4 Minutes".

[edit] Somewhere Is The Real Staceyy

Shortly after completetion of Crocodile Tears, Poodey began work on her 4th album. She decided to use a vast array of producers and writers to succeed with a perfect sound. She recorded over 30 demos for the album. Eventually cutting down to 12 for the final tracklisting. Whilst the recording stage, Poodey gained 10 nominations at the FAG awards ceremony. This was a great tribute for Poodey because last time she was nominated was for her demo flop "I Got Raped". Poodey eventually won 2 of the 10 awards she was nominated for. At the FAGs she premiered the single "Deadly", which was released shortly afterwards. The song became an instant hit, but began to decline quickly. It peaked at #15 in the USA, which was one of her highest peaking debut singles. During a promotional visit to China, Poodey caused havoc due to internet rumors of her recording the Diana single "Peace Will Come" turned out to be false. However, she did record the song eventually. It was the B-Side single to her single "Poodey Tang" which was released in early June.
