The Distributed Computing wiki is about volunteer computing that people can perform by download a client such as United Device or BOINC, which make use of the computer's resources that the user is not utilizing. This allows anyone who uses a computer to contribute to projects such as medical research, SETI, physics problems or climate prediction.
This wiki will try to lower the entry level, by giving clear, straight forward advice and tutorials, and provide extensive information on the individual projects, exploring the science, goals, and merits of each approach.
