I'm nominating the Mozilla Community wiki because:

  1. they dealt well with a recent surge of vandals caused by being linked to from Slashdot.
  2. the wiki seems welcoming, with a community portal and chat page.
  3. good use of templates
  4. custom logo
  5. 20 categories
  6. All the essential administrative pages are there: disclaimers, copyrights, about.
  7. a lot of content, including useful search plugins
