I believe that this is the fastest growing new wikicity, with over 1000 articles in just two months. ^_^ (Unknown anonymous edit.) --AX

I don't know what NPC added this page, but since he's already mentioned it...
This is another wiki started by GreenReaper, the same as was credited in the first featured WikiCity, Creatures. Starting with early seeds (I myself did 5 articles a day for a month, other users pleaded from 1-5 articles a day). Despite having existed for about six weeks, it already has more page views than both Mozilla and WikiMac (last month's #4 and #5 wikis), and it has been able in parrying multiple vandalism attempts from a number of sources. With a dedicated LiveJournal both to discuss trouble and to organize improvements, conflict has been largely either averted or deflected to user pages. Finally, people using categories to request articles (such as this one) keeps the request list manageable, while specializing the request lists for people who are particularly interested in one topic or another. I have to oppose this one, due to weak moderation allowing for large-scale vandalism that the users have to sort out. Almafeta 12:36, 24 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Dispite not contributing myself much anymore, I still check the RC list daily, I wish I knew what vandalism you were talking about. o_o --Nidonocu 06:05, 14 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Probably speaking of the Something Awful influx which occurred a couple of months ago, and which was over within a few days. -- Siege 11:14, 14 Nov 2005 (UTC)
As far as I can tell, WikiFur does not have a vandalism problem. When it does occur, the vandalism is nearly always caught and reverted within a few hours, often much faster. --mwalimu 17:30, 29 Nov 2005 (UTC)
I would note that we just passed 205,000 pageviews, and 15,000 edits. --GreenReaper(talk) 18:31, 10 Sep 2005 (UTC)
  • because it's gotten so darn busy in so short a time. --GreenReaper(talk) 21:58, 31 Aug 2005 (UTC)
  • yes. A great example of an active and productive wiki. – Jello2 18:31, 12 Sep 2005 (UTC)
  • Please do not take offence, but this site featured article scares me. It is a person dressed in an animal costume sitting on a couch. Makon 05:19, 13 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Brandon Prendifur in Mission Beach, San Diego has an annual extraFURganza that is worth going to
OOH! Shakespeare wrote about some of them in Midsummer Night's Dream. Robin Patterson 00:07, 5 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Now features over 2000 articles. Perhaps not much compared to Star Wars, but I think there are more Star Wars fans than furry fans. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 16:53, 5 Nov 2005 (UTC)

I would have voted for this- but I only registered in March 2006- I believe greenreaper is a future star- more power to him (his proud Mum)Puck

  • Please note objections at Featured Wikicity. Almafeta 13:37, 9 Nov 2005 (UTC)
    • Noted, but I think you should probably demonstrate what you consider vandalism, so people can make their own minds up about it. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 06:06, 11 Nov 2005 (UTC)
  • Full vote. It's a field crowded with high-quality entries, but WikiFur's emergence and growth after a smear campaign makes it uniquely qualified to receive attention, methinks. Plus GreenReaper's been the very model of a perfect leader. And I'm biased as hell, being a furry. ;) --Tom Howling 07:07, 14 Nov 2005 (UTC)

  • One full vote, even though I was tempted to split my vote and give half for the Doom wiki. But Doom per se is pretty much over for me, while furries were around before its release and still gaining ground after all these years. -- Siege 11:22, 14 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Don't feel bad - Doom was already featured in September (and rightly so - I voted for it myself :-). --GreenReaper(talk) 14:43, 14 Nov 2005 (UTC)

  • Full Vote A lot of work has gone into the wiki. Defending from trolls, edits climbing higher, goals to reach. It started off slowly with only a few users to begin with, but now it is a large community presenting and refining useful information which can be of help to many people. --Markus 03:34, 30 Nov 2005 (UTC)
