Featured gaming Wikia
Wikia - creating communities
Starting last November, one gaming wiki every month will be featured on the gaming hub of the central Wikia. Have a question/comment about the process? talk about it!

[edit] How they are chosen
To nominate a wiki, please choose one from the list of gaming wikis and add it to the "nominations" list below, with a comment on why you think it should be featured. When making nominations, consider which wikis were already featured and choose one which has not recently had this exposure.
- Check to see if the wiki is eligible
- Nominate it (if appropriate)
- Make supporting comments of the nomination of your choice
- Vote for your choice
- If the header does not already exist on the voting page, please add it in alphabetical order. Nominations do not need to be "approved" before they can be added. However, if a wikia is ineligible (see the eligibility section below), it cannot win.
[edit] Reasons for selection
A gaming wiki can be nominated for a number of reasons: The wiki:
- is inactive and could use some more exposure
- has gained some great content recently
- has problems and needs some extra users to help with something
- is a good example of how other wikis should be doing things:
- great support for newcomers
- fast membership growth
- most creative use of categories
- best new templates
- best use of...
[edit] Eligibility
To be considered...
- The wiki must have a prepared blurb.
- It must have been active in the past 30 days.
- It must have at least 10 articles.
- The wiki cannot have been featured within the past year.
- The wiki cannot be in the "The Hits" or "What's Hot" sections of the gaming hub within the past month. The wiki should also not have the game, or expansion of the game, coming out within a month of the feature time span (since then it'd go into the "What's Hot" section during or shortly after being featured).
- It is ok for the wiki to be recently or currently a Featured Wikia, since it's currently not in a prominent position.
[edit] Nominations
Please give an explanation of what a particular wiki has done well. This could help Wikians to incorporate good ideas into their own Wikia.
Enter new nominations in alphabetical order.
[edit] Supporting or Opposing Comments
Comments and queries may be added after subheadings.
[edit] Vote
- User votes: Each registered user has one (1) vote.
- Community votes: Each gaming wiki has one (1) vote. The vote of the gaming wiki shall be collectively determined by its community, and the entry of the vote shall link to the page where the community decision was made. The community vote may not go towards itself or a spin-off wiki for the exact same game. For example, the WoWWiki may not put its vote for a WoW fan fiction wiki or a WoW server/clan wiki, because they are all wikis for the identical game.
[edit] Changing Votes
You may change your own vote. Please do not change anyone else's vote. The exception is people who are helping to note where votes are invalid. They may strike out a vote with an explanation of why it is invalid. If they wish, they may notify the voter (via talk pages). The voter may then re-vote correctly.
