Featured gaming Wikia/Nominations
Wikia - creating communities
Please put the nomination blurb in its own section below. Remember to include reasons why you think the wiki should be featured, as opposed to simply introducing the wiki.

[edit] Sample Nomination Wiki
The Sample Nomination Wiki should be selected as a featured gaming wikia because we need something to kick-off the nomination process and have an example to show others how to format a nomination. Most nominations should probably longer than this blurb though... -PanSola 01:36, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Age of Conan
Age of Conan Wikia - First started in May 2006 and joining the Wikia network in June 2007. The Age of Conan Wiki has grown to a massive 942 articles so far, and the game isn't even released yet. Most recently we've started having some more activity from the official Age of Conan Forums so we must be doing something right, but we're still in need of more help to neaten things up on there. While we don't have anything unique in regards to wikia features to offer, we make up for it in our determination to make this the best and biggest resource for Age of Conan.
[edit] Pfhorpedia
The Marathon Wikia is a rather new and somewhat empty (two users and one bot on the active users list), but it's got quite a lot of content for its age, and stuff like that... but we need HELP!!! So if it's featured people will clicky and edity and helpy until another, sadder wiki comes up to replace it. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 22:01, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- It's empty because everyone is already working at Traxus. ⇔ ChristTrekker 15:39, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Tabula Rasa
Although I don't play the game, I've been secretly impressed by the Tabula Rasa wiki since I'd heard about the game being introduced. Their wiki is clean, well organized, and a great example of how a gaming wiki can start out.--Kodia 21:05, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- impressive, but ineligible. game launch is nov 2. The wiki cannot be in the "The Hits" or "What's Hot" sections of the gaming hub within the past month. The wiki should also not have the game, or expansion of the game, coming out within a month of the feature time span (since then it'd go into the "What's Hot" section during or shortly after being featured). --Uberfuzzy 05:04, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- It can be featured after late December. -03:15, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] BlackSite and Area 51 Wiki
This "Site" needs some more attention to make it grow and it covers everything from the Light Gun game to BlackSite so thats why I think it needs to be featured.Sauronas Churchill
[edit] Forgotten Realms
The Forgotten Realms Wiki was started on October 1st 2005 and for a long time had only a few regular editors. After a month of rotation on the Wikia Spotlight in early 2007 the wiki saw a surge in new editors, something that we hope would be repeated and surpassed, through being featured on Wikia Gaming.
Features of the Forgotten Realms wiki include;
- Interactive maps of Faerûn and its cosmological planes.
- Ever-expanding timeline of the Realms' lengthy history.
- Extensive citation project, to not only provide accurate information, but also to help readers find the products they could be interested in.
- Illustrations for hundreds of articles.
- Recently hit 3500 articles, through the work of a growing team of editors.
- User-friendly Portals to ease topical navigation.
[edit] BlurbThe Forgotten Realms Wiki is an encyclopedia covering the richly detailed high fantasy world of the Realms. Created in the mind of Ed Greenwood almost four decades ago, it has been the setting for vibrant computer games such as Baldur's Gate II and Neverwinter Nights and almost two hundred novels from authors as talented as R.A. Salvatore, Douglas Niles and Elaine Cunningham. It has spawned great heroes like Drizzt Do'Urden and Elminster, and inspired countless pen and paper games of Dungeons & Dragons. With source material spanning a full two decades, a complete encyclopedia of the Forgotten Realms has never before been attempted on this scale. With a quickly growing article count of over 3500, accuracy is vital to the project in order to stay faithful to the incredibly detailed world and provide an indispensible reference for players, DMs and fans alike. |

[edit] Ace Wiki
Ace Combat Wiki - First started in August 2006, it became inactive in the summer of 2007. After the release of Ace Combat 6, it has grown to 315 Articles within one week, with more being added everyday. Recently, Ace Wiki merged with the electrosphere editthis, which also has its own forum. This is why I nominate the Ace Combat Wiki. -- AJ
[edit] HammerWiki
HammerWiki is a wiki documenting the forthcoming MMORPG Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR), due to be released later this year. HammerWiki entered the world as part of the GameWikis group back in August 2006, and subsequently joined the Wikia family in November 2007. As a reference source for fans of WAR, it strives to develop original content that puts forward the opinions and interpretations of the WAR community, from the detailed intricacies of the gameplay to the rich background of the Warhammer World. HammerWiki is hoping to hit the 1000 article benchmark any day now, and has recently introduced a featured article system to bring attention to some of the better content on the wiki. --Pendrako 11:09, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Halopedia
Halopedia is a large huge loyal database to the Halo trilogy. And its even got a cool new skin with an automated ranking system and Gifts and a friends system and WAY MORE BECAUSE OF ITS NEW MONOBOOK SKIN!! Sauronas Churchill-117 08:45, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] SWGames
SWGames, the Star Wars Gaming wiki is an encyclopedia of mostly information, strategies, and walkthroughs on Star Wars games. We have a number of very regular editors, and a few more people are joining. We have recently reached the 2,000 article mark and as three very regular editors have not been active for the past few weeks due to various problems, that is a great achievement. We have a large number of high quality articles and a lot of articles to be improved. One of our largest problems is trying to let people know about the site as we are not expanding as quickly as we feel that we could be. We have had very little vandalism in the past, all of which has been quickly removed and in comparison to similar wikis we are doing very well from that point of view. As shown by Wookieepedia, Star Wars is a popular topic but not enough people know enough about SWGames.
