Forum:A question about namespaces and article count
Wikia - creating communities
Hi all, I'm an administrator at the Star Wars MUSH Wiki (http://sw1mush.wikia.com), and I have a question regarding namespaces and articles... early in the Wiki's history, we had a namespace set up, "RPlog," to serve as the pages to hold certain articles - roleplaying game logs that made up the story of the Star Wars game. The characters (players) interacting and what-not. However, I noticed that RPlog pages aren't included in the Wiki's article count (http://sw1mush.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Statistics) - it's included in the "total page" count, but not "legitimate content" page count. My question is - is it possible to have RPlog pages included in the legitimate content page count? RPlog pages are definitely legitimate content - they are some of the most important pages on the Wiki, the substance of the game.
It's not absolutely necessary, I'm just wondering if it's possible and, if so, how to go about doing it. Thank you for your time. --Danik Kreldin
- I've now set this so RPlog counts towards the total number of articles. As a note for other staff reading this, you can set wgContentNamespaces to do this. Angela

[edit] Similar thing on fr.guildwars
Hi,
I'm not sure about this, but we have custom namespaces too. And some of them should be include in total article count. On c:fr.guildwars both the Build and Stratégie namespaces should count as regular content. But the Guilde namespace should not (it's like another type of user namespace).
Thank in advance to the staff that will see to this. — TulipVorlax 23:25, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
