I would like a template just like {{Wikipedia}} except referring to "Commons" instead. I may be able to make my own, but an expertly-created one would probably be better. Robin Patterson 11:23, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Feel free to use the {{Commons}} template from the WGEP. Though I think you may prefer something from the history of that template because like the other WGEP templates it uses the Box CSS Classes which make the content blocks very standardized and cleaner. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) tricks Jul 24, 2007 @ 11:42 (UTC)

Thank you. Could be just the thing, apart from question about image. I have my adaptation of the abovementioned "Wikipedia" template at Genealogy:Template:Usedcommons, which seems to work for text pages (not that there's a lot of text on most Commons pages) but has a mysterious problem with their histories. Maybe Dantman or another expert would be willing to examine it? It's used on http://genealogy.wikia.com/wiki/Category:People_of_the_United_Kingdom. Robin Patterson 04:20, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Fixed it... You can't use that method of making urls. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) tricks Jul 26, 2007 @ 13:11 (UTC)
He fixed it indeed. So I'm now thanking him for the third time. It can be copied to any other Wikia with next to no alteration apart from maybe a word or two around the SITENAME. Robin Patterson 14:48, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
