Wikia - creating communities

How would I be able to choose a template so that a person on my wikia could click on it and have some stuff filled in for them on an edit page like is done on

It would be useful so that my Comment template would make a nice "Messageboard Forum"-like box around their talk comment.

To preload something you add &preload=Articlename to the URL to add it to the edit box. I use the tecnique for a poll system with comments in my announcements [1]. Dantman (Talk) 14:20, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

BillK edited the page MediaWiki:Newarticletext to include the buttons you find at the top. That way, you don't have to add anything to the URL, the buttons are just always there when someone creates a new page. To see how he did it, check out MediaWiki:Newarticletext at World Wikia.
