Wikia - creating communities

Hi,

On fr.guildwars, i want to use a DPL query to populate a table but when i specify more than one category, theres no results.

Maybe i'm just doing something wrong so i've come here to ask a bit of help from people who kwon DPL well. Or it may be the bug with empties categories since the upgrade...

Note that i put a few lines manually in the table so it show some content because i made that page to help users of GuildWiki (mainly).

Was DPL extension used before anywhere on that wiki? This extension is disabled by default. Maybe you need to request it to be enabled on that wiki. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) ^-WikiDex 16:46, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

It is? I thought all Wikia wikis had DPLforum enabled, and since that requires DPL, that is usually enabled as well. (Though, hmm, w:c:guestbook:Special:Version has DPLforum but not DPL...)

Anyway, DPL requires the categories to be used to be actually created (i.e. when they redlink, you're doing it wrong, edit the category page). I have created one, it works now, the others are all empty anyway. --◄mendel► 19:26, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

DPL has been in use on fr.guildwars almost since the wiki was created. It's used on the main page to output a list of recents topics in the forum in all of it's categories. See c:fr.guildwars:Accueil:Forum2. But in that case it's done on the whole forum namespace.

I think fr.guildwars was started before they change their way of doing things at Wikia.

Categories used for the query are empties ? Surely not all of them.... Oh Wait ! I got it...

The problem was the "s" at the end of the word "Compétence".

Now another problem has showed up but that one need a local discussion, i mean, with other users there.
