Forum:NW Caribbean Cruiser Network
Wikia - creating communities
The NW Caribbean Cruisers Net needs a place to aggregate the relevant information about the various areas they are visiting. Specific would be emergency and safety resources and phone numbers. Followed by the kinds of information that gets asked weekly on the morning radio net such as "Check-in Procedures", what's required to bring a pet into a country, Costs for visas, Fuel availability, haul-out facilities and repairs sources. The list and questions goes on and on.
This Wiki would be organized by cruising region, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras. Cruisers would volunteers to source the data and maintain those entry specific by their individual region. At any given time over 300 hundred boats are in this region and probably 500 pass through each year. Amassing the data in one place would solve the problem of whispering down the lane and eliminate misinformation that might be passed due to poor radio propagation. —This unsigned comment is by 69.19.14.16 (talk • contribs).
