I have just tried to log onto the Psychology Wiki an a popbox appear with a small yellow triangle in which there is an excaimation mark with the number 1 or 2 beside it. Clicking OK or looking to close the box just has it reappear and this makes it impossible to use the page or to close it except through the task manager, as it is always awaiting a response. It does not appear on Wikia or WP or armchairGM. I suspect that it is related to the Google Analytics code could someone have a look at it for us. Thanks Dr Joe Kiff 06:06, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Same problem on campaigns wikia Dr Joe Kiff 06:12, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Sometimes vandals abuse scripts that have that effect, but those are usually limited to one page. If it's happening at more than one Wikia it's probably something on your end. Check that your anti-virus, spyware, anti-intrusion, etc. software is up to date. A screenshot would help if you're able to get one.
Another thought is that you are experiencing errors logging in with the new quartz skins. Try going to Special:Userlogin (you can attach this to the /wiki/ url) and see if that works. -- Manticore Talk | Contributions 13:30, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
It's fucking stupid that the vulnerability of the TabView extension was reported (and problemReportsList-problem-1243) the 18th of october and the 9th of November the issue is still there! It's curious that two of the extensions having security issues (this one and the Calendar Extension) were created by Wikia. I guess if the other extensions also created by Wikia would have similar issues. Maybe now it's time to test them.
A note: The way of get rid of the pop-up window (in firefox) is to hold CTRL and W keys ant then click with the mouse the close button of the pop-up. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) -WikiDex 17:45, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Oh thanks! It's the same shortcut on IE7. (I did not test if it worked the same though, but it should).
Bug with the tabview extension ? This is a bad news... I've based my userpage on it in fr.guildwars. :-( — TulipVorlax 23:58, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for you comments all. It seems to have disappeared now, nothing reported with virus scans and I work in monobook so it wasn't the skin. Curious - and very frustrating at the time.Dr Joe Kiff 17:06, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
The bug is not solved yet. To test it, go to [1] and select the last revision made by the user:83.12.240.122. Be sure of having understood how to close the pop-up message if you want to exit the page cleanly (without kill the application with the task manager).
Maybe some wikia developer's never heard about escaping ALL the user input... the most important rule for web developers. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) -WikiDex 20:06, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
I think this type of problem existed in the past in <poll> tags. Apprently, they haven't learned from previous mistakes... Anyway, I've blocked: <tabview ... | ... </script> ... <script ...> to prevent further savings of this JS exploit until the problem gets fully fixed. GHe (Talk) 00:38, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
