I am setting up the wiki Color Sorting. I want each article to include a place for displaying the color, a place for displaying the codes and numeric information about the color, a place for the primary name of the color, a place for alternate names of the color, a place for general text about the color, a place for a blurb justifying why the color should be named that, a place for bibliographic references, and finally a place for pictures using said color. I want it set up so that each new article automatically has this format or template. How do I set that up? --Bejjinks 00:09, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

I dont think there's a way to set up a site wide template preload.
On fr.guildwars, i've done a page with boxes where users just have to type the name of the page they want to create and have a standard formatting preload into the edit box.
Take a look : c:fr.guildwars:Aide:Créer une nouvelle page.
The first box is a search box so they permform a search before creating a page that already exist. The first box of the following table just create a page without loading anything. All following boxes will load a template to be fill in by the user.
Try typing "ooo" in one of them and click the button under it. You'll see how it work. But dont save the page, lol.
You could put a box like that on your main page. There's no warranty that all users will use it but it really simplify the work. Thoses boxes on fr.guildwars were mainly done for my own use... — TulipVorlax 04:27, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
