Social bookmarking sites are a great way of sharing and promoting articles from your local Wikia. There are new social bookmarking sites all the time.
Which sites are linked from Wikia pages?
- Digg
- A site for user-submitted news and articles. The digg community will vote on your submission, and the more positive votes the article receives, the more it will be seen.
- delicious.com (formerly del.icio.us)
- A social bookmarking website. This is a place you can save all your favorite sites. Other users can see your bookmarks, and can see what bookmarks are popular. It's a great way to share the pages that you think are the best on Wikia.
- StumbleUpon
- Another site for sharing and recommending your favorite links, allowing people who enjoy discovering new things to "stumble upon" the best of the web.
- A very popular social networking website.
How do I submit pages?
All article pages have links that will take you straight to the site and start the process of adding your submission. In the Monaco skin, these links are in the footer box at the bottom of the page.
Remember, reputation counts on these sites, so don't add pages and indiscriminately. But if you write or find a page that you think deserves to be shared, these links make it easy to spread the word to interested communities.
Will you support other social bookmarking sites?
If there is another popular bookmarking site you think we should support, please contact us and let us know.
We are planning to provide language-specific bookmarking links in the future, so we would like to hear from you about bookmarking sites that are widely used in languages other than English.
