Wikia - creating communities

The Wikia Sandbox (which can be found at Wikia:Sandbox) is a page designed for testing and experimentation with the wiki syntax. It must not be used for malicious purposes, such as spamming or making personal attacks. Please do not place offensive content in the sandbox.

Another sandbox can be found at Template:X1 which is to be used for template experiments.

If you are a registered member, you can create your own sandbox in your userspace. For example, if your username was JohnDoe, you could have your very own sandbox at User:JohnDoe/sandbox (This userspace is only an example).

The term "sandbox" is an Americanism for "sandpit", and is the traditional name for free testing areas in wiki projects.

The sandboxes content will also be removed after a certain amount of time. If any edits are not made within it for a set amount of time, content may also be removed. A bot has also been created that will reset the sandbox at certain times.
