[edit] It not work on wikicities.com
I've put this code in my page but there's nothing. It's show only text that I type. Did I do anything incorrect with using it? RobinTh 17:33, 4 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- This extension will be available in version 1.5 of the software. --DCLXVI 20:45, 4 Aug 2005 (UTC)
In my wiki it only shows "UNIQ6c303a9661f78661-inputbox5674d3e4842f4c800000001" [1] :/ --Muggler 14:19, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- There is a problem at the moment with this and some other aspects such as maths tags. It's being looked at, and hopefully will be sorted soon -- sannse (talk) 22:29, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Should be fixed now. Please report any further problems in http://bugs.wikia.com. Angela (talk) 23:26, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Internationalization
Anyone to change the button's caption? I tried Mediawiki:Createarticle but was not successful. No editing facilities. BTW: I don't want to have all the Wikis here German captions:-)
Any hints?

- You need to change the same file on your Wikicity. So, for example, on BerlinWiki you would change w:Berlin:MediaWiki:Createarticle. These files use the default text from Central, unless they have been changed locally. You need to have sysop access or higher to change this though, and it will change all buttons using this file -- sannse (talk) 21:27, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry for answering late. Thank you, Sannse, for your hints. Now all works perfectly. Charlotte --82.139.211.6 19:12, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- w:desencyclopedie:MediaWiki:Createarticle is translated, and yet w:desencyclopedie:Aide:Rien à foutre still shows the English text. Am I missing something? --Confusius 14:39, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- The box text works on your language preferences as well as what's on the main MediaWiki page. So if you have your language preferences set as English, that will override the default and show you English text. Try changing your preferences to French, and it should change to the correct text. If you want to force the box to show French text for those with English set, then you could try making MediaWiki:Createarticle/en on your wiki and putting the French text in there. -- sannse (talk) 15:23, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
My language preferences have been French for a while. But it seems to work now. Thank you. --Confusius 15:28, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Inputbox not working
I am unable to get the input box working. Only the tag text shows. My mediawiki install is 1.5.7. Can anyone help? Thanks!
Got it now -- extension was not installed.
[edit] Backgrounds
I've noticed that if I don't supply the bgcolor then the generated HTML has bgcolor="". Is there any way of eliminating the attribute entirely to get valid HTML with no background colour? ("Make this the same as the page color (as specified in the skin) to make the background disappear" is not useful advice because the whole point of skins is that there's more than one). [edit] Categorizing
Is there a way to alter the code of a create-article-box so that any page created with it will automatically include itself in a specified category? Let's say I have a createbox that is only meant to be used to create new articles about poetry. Can I set up the createbox so that all articles created with it include the [[Category:Poetry]] tag?
