It can be surprising and confusing for users to be taken automatically to a different wiki.

I prefer to use the term "Shock and Awe". ;-)

Besides, I want to trick them into visitng my home wiki! If I don't use a hard redirect, there's the possibility that they won't. So what is the new syntax for going from Wikipedia to Wikia, or across Wikia? I heard something about the c: modifier no longer being necessary... nae'blis _(talk) 21:05, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Isn't this wrong?:

From another mediawiki site (not in Wikia), I tried [[Wikia:c:AliceSoft]], but instead of taking me to AliceSoft.wikia, it goes to http://www.wikia.com/wiki/Index.php/c:AliceSoft on central instead (which of course doesn't exist). Is the problem with that other mediawiki site? or is it some configuration problem here?

The example, [[Wikia:c:Starwars:Jedi]], doesn't appear to work. I get the "OOPS, was that the right address?" error page. What am I doing wrong? Walter Siegmund (talk) 15:13, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

That's true. Linking with wikia: or wikiasite: in wikimedia sites links to http://www.wikia.com/wiki/c:, so there's an additional c: in the url. Somebody changed the interwiki table long time ago. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) ^-WikiDex 15:50, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

When will this be possible?

Also some wikia projects interwiki's don't work, like templates:User:©TriMoon™ needs w:c:templates:User:©TriMoon™ which both don't work with templates..
