[edit] Problem with videos that have an underscore in the ID
It seems some videos can't be shown. Could the problem be the underscore character in the video ID? The first of the following two videos works (zLJKedGAEY8), the second doesn't (7cuT6Xi_LQc). --Spankart 23:51, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Interesting one... I'll pass that on, it looks like it's to do with the way that MediaWiki translates underscores as spaces in URLs (that's my guess anyway :) -- sannse (talk) 08:26, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- Now the second one is working too! If someone made a fix - thanks! If not - strange... --Spankart 10:29, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Problems
I'm having real problems with this new YouTube code. First of all, it didn't work when called through a local template so I created a Wikicities template, as suggested on the Template talk:YouTube talk page. This worked for a few days but then for some mysterious reason stopped showing the videos yesterday. I then manually substituted the code because templates obviously weren't working. And today, even that has ceased to function! What's going on? Bobo12345 06:01, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think this is just because YouTube is down. youtube.com just has an image saying this is scheduled downtime. Angela talk 06:37, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Ah, so it seems. Sorry for jumping the gun! :) Bobo12345 07:38, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Google Video
Special:Version says that the YouTube extension "embeds YouTube and Google Video movies". How do I embed a Google Video? Spankart 21:45, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- I found it out myself. I just have to replace <youtube> by <gvideo>. Perhaps this nice feature should be announced somewhere too. Spankart 21:56, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
