The Jewish Ideas Wiki will function as a repository of Jewish philosophical ideas and their sources.
It is often extraordinarily difficult to associate well-known Jewish ideas (e.g., "the soul persists after death", "God is unknowable", etc.) with their original sources and subsequent advocates. This information is spread out over many different scholarly publications, many completely inaccessible to ordinary religious folks.
The aim of this wiki will be to organize this information by idea, so that an interested reader call look up "soul persists after death," and find — in one place — a self-contained and coherent presentation of the origins of the idea, its advocates in the history of Jewish thought, its detractors, and references to parallels in non-Jewish thought.
