There are very few policies which apply across all Wikia. See Category:Policy for those.
However, you will often find that a policy on one Wikia is useful to other wikis, even if that is not an overall Wikia policy. Such policies should be proposed and discussed here, so that other wikis can choose whether to adopt them.
To propose a policy for a specific Wikia, you should generally do so on that wiki. However, if you would like input from the wider Wikia community, then you can also do that on this page.
[edit] Propaganda
Unlike Wikipedia, some propaganda is OK on Wikia, but don't do too much of it. There are some Wikia that might trigger propaganda (e.g. Quitsmoking Wiki). If you think propaganda is essential to life, do an appropriate amount on Wikia. Policy proposed by SamuraiClinton 03:46, 5 May 2005
- I think this will depend on the wiki in question and isn't something we need an overall policy about. Some wikis will seem more propaganda-like than others, but will often do so without needing any policy one way or the other. I think this is probably related to whether the wiki adopts an NPOV stance or not. Angela (talk) 10:33, 5 May 2005 (UTC)
