Nonciclopedia is an Italian parody of Wikipedia. The site is a sister project of the English Uncyclopedia, the French Désencyclopédie and the Spanish and Latin American Inciclopedia, founded on November 3, 2005 as the Italian transposition of Uncyclopedia, in two years Nonciclopedia has walked on its own path: even if they both share love for politically uncorrect, nonsense and linguistic humour, Nonci learned to avoid verbosity, illogicity and recurrent jokes, thus distincting itself from its bigger sister.
So far Nonciclopedia is about to reach 6000 articles. Along with the main encyclopedic content, this number includes the pages from UnNews, UnQuote, Manuals and Horroscope.

The Forgotten Realms Wiki is a collection of (mainly) canon lore from the Forgotten Realms campaign setting for Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 edition and its predecessors.It aims to provide an encyclopedic reference to the wealth of official source material released in the past decades since the setting's inception. With so many Realms products over the years, and certain topics being revised in subsequent editions of D&D, it is often difficult to remember where to look for specific information. The hope is that this wiki will index the information by topic, making it easy to find in a searchable manner.

The wiki boast over 3600 well researched articles and also provides encyclopedic reference to certain non-canon Realms products such as List of computer and video games. The wiki was originally started in 2005 by Drizzt but he has since become inactive, leaving it in the hands of Hashimashadoo. At the end of 2006, long-standing contributors Zerak-Tul and Fw190a8 were added to the administration team.

Since its inception in May 2005, its has grown and has a very active community of Hardcore transformers fans. The FFXIclopedia Project is a wiki focusing on the hit MMORPG Final Fantasy XI, also known as FFXI.This online FFXI encyclopedia contains more than 19,800 articles relating to FFXI that can be edited by any user, making the FFXIclopedia a true community effort

At its inception, FFXIclopedia had fewer than five articles. But within months it grew slowly by slowly and within a year boasted over 8,000 articles. After October 2005, when the FFXIclopedia's Adventuring Fellow Guide was created cause an influx of users and the unique visitors to FFXIclopedia, which had been rising steadily, doubled from 8000 to 16000 in that month alone and by January 2006, they had over 10,000 articles in their database and 25,000 unique visitors . The FFXIclopedia was too big to be just an extension of the Avengers website and so a donation drive was held on the wiki to expand it to it's current domain, FFXIclopedia.org. Once on its own domain and server, additional improvements were quickly implemented, including the forums and blog system.

For convenience, the site is categorized into several areas of content. The major categories one might select from are Comics, Database Articles, Glossary of Terms or the Image Galleries.

Since the project was founded on March 18th, 2005 we have created 20,000 articles and uploaded over 17,000 images! Recently, the Marvel Database Project has internationalized and begun translating its reference into Dutch, Hungarian and Spanish.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia is an online encyclopedia of information related to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime and Manga, the related Video Games and Films.

The site includes a wealth of information, covering Japan's OCG, the prevalent TCG across many western territories, and both Japanese- and English-language Anime and Manga information, especially pertaining to the cards used therein. OCG and TCG cards are also searchable, where applicable, by both card and set numbers.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia was founded on 26th May, 2005 and currently has over 7,000 articles, over 6,200 uploaded files, and has a near-complete TCG & OCG Library, with new information being added daily.

Star Wars Fanon; thousands of articles and hundreds of contributors. The Star Wars Fanon Wiki is the leading Wikia that deals with the fanon aspects of our society. Our vast array of contributors range from the traditional novella writer to the young children of our schools.

With a wide variety of stories, novels, character bios and events, the Star Wars Fanon Wiki brings out the true imagination of its users, and allows each user to fulfill their writing dreams. Friendly criticism and assistance is provided by all contributors to each other and this only serves to increase the writing standard of the articles.

Each article written is the copyright of the prospective author, and at times it does cause tension between writers, but these situations are always sorted out and, in the end, everyone articles come out much stronger than they were before. And there are many cases wherein the authors join together, linking their articles to from one large Fanon galaxy.

The site launched in March 2005 and has grown to over 42,000 articles and includes versions in many other languages.

The Star Wars Wikia has a massive community and several community projects, including the Improvement drive, and the Wookieepedian of the Month. Both film and expanded universe information is welcome, and articles are generally written from an "in-universe" point-of-view.

The Music wikia has over 5,000 articles about many different artists, both obscure and well-known. It's also the home to the mixtape wiki, a great place for you to put tracklistings for your own personal mixes and your own notes and reviews of songs and albums!

The Final Fantasy Wiki Wikia is an online encyclopedia of information related to the Final Fantasy series as well as several related games and films by Squaresoft.

The site includes information on characters, locations, abilities, and the Job System. There is also an in-depth bestiary for enemies in Final Fantasy VI.

The Wiki was founded on 13 March, 2005 and currently has over 2,000 articles. In the Final Fantasy tradition, weekly fights are held at the Dragon's Neck Colosseum between characters, mascots, summons, and jobs.

The freakin' sweet Family Guy Wiki is a comprehensive guide to the cartoon world of Family Guy.

Family Guy, which was originally conceived by Seth MacFarlane, is an animated comedy featured on FOX. Though it did not originally gain much popularity during it's first few seasons, syndication on Adult Swim, and the release of DVD box sets prompted FOX to bring back the series in 2005.

The Family Guy Wiki was formed in May, 2005 as an effort to chronicle the Family Guy episodes, characters, production staff and more. We current have over 500 articles, and are growing rapidly toward being the definitive Family Guy reference database.

Started on August 30, 2005, the Inheritance Trilogy Wiki, or Inheriwiki for short, is an ever-growing Inheritance database, striving to be a definitive source for information about the Inheritance trilogy.

Inheriwiki has the potential to become the greatest Inheritance database ever. We are friendly, welcoming, and we have a community portal, a forum, an IRC channel, an edit counter, and a calendar. We also have featured articles, quote of the day, and an improvement drive. We are fortunate to not have any vandalism in the recent months, and we plan on keeping it that way.

The Psychology Wiki started on 21st January 2006 and is now one of the largest psychology resources on the internet with over 12,832 pages, 8,062 articles and 45 MB of content. It is written for academics, professionals, and to provide information for the people we seek to help. The wiki is breaking fresh ground in: education, managing knowledge in an open access framework, and as a meeting place between users of services and the researchers and professionals that work in the area.

The Lord of the Rings wikia includes discussion and information about "The Lord of the Rings": books by J.R.R. Tolkien and derived movies culminating in the 17-Oscar trilogy by New Zealand's Peter Jackson. Started on March 8, 2005, it now has more than 2000 articles and 200 images. It has articles and images featured on the main page, and an active community portal with a project to create articles.

Wiki 24 is the unofficial encyclopedia for the Fox television show 24, dedicated to providing up-to-date, reliable information about the series. The site has hour-by-hour coverage of each day in the life of Jack Bauer, as well as supporting characters (grouped) and the actors who play them.

Wiki 24 contains over 1000 articles, one of which is featured on the front page each month, along with 24 news and trivia. Other notable features include the list of on-screen kills by Jack Bauer, as well as the numerous page templates and a three level system of stubs.

The Redwall Wiki is an online communal resource dedicated to providing up-to-date, relevant information regarding the Redwall book series by Brian Jacques. The site provides detailed articles on Redwall media, books, characters, and places.

The Redwall Wiki has been gaining momentum since its foundation on October 10, 2005, and now has well over 1000 articles, the largest Redwall book cover gallery in online existence, as well as a page detailing the family trees of many Redwall characters.

The Redwall Wiki also provides current Redwall news, breaking many stories before other well-known sources.

The LOST Wiki is a comprehensive database of information relevant within the world of LOST. The wiki contains pages and pics for EVERY character ever seen or mentioned on the show, as well as a summary of their activities. Also included are Summaries for every Episode, Connections between Characters, Timeline of Events, Pages for Companies, Organizations, Locations, Items, Mysteries, and More.

The LOST Wiki was started on December 9, 2005 and currently has over 790 articles and is rapidly growing with each passing day.

Radio Control Wiki is a collaborative project to create the ultimate knowledge base on everything RC. Cars, boats, trucks, planes, bots, whatever you enjoy that happens to be radio controlled.

RC Wiki started on June 2, 2005, and moved to Wikia on June 26, 2005. It currently has about 150 articles, and is still growing. It needs more users, especially those who can contribute their radio control knowledge.

Muppet Wiki is a collaborative project to create an encyclopedia for everything related to Jim Henson and the Muppets.

Muppet Wiki started on December 5, 2005. There are currently over 12,000 articles, and still growing. The wiki includes over 1,500 Muppet Characters, and Episode Guides for all of the Henson TV shows. Character Evolution pages show the development of the major Muppet characters. There are also well-developed sections on International Sesame Street co-productions and Sesame Street books.

The wiki features a daily "Today on Muppet Wiki" item on the Main Page. A special Active Talk Pages category helps to promote communication and collaboration.

WikiFur is an encyclopedia written by, for, and about the furry fandom.

Founded at the end of July, growth was slow before a promotion on furry LiveJournal communities spread to Something Awful, becoming the Awful Link of the Day for August 15. Swift action turned this potential crisis around, as many visitors were willing to help resist vandalism and improve the wiki. Some later became administrators.

Over 2400 articles have been written by WikiFur contributors - around 700 are about members of the fandom, while the remainder cover furry community and culture, including conventions, publications, multiplayer worlds, characters, and more. Promotion continues, including a leaflet distributed at Midwest FurFest, and this page.

Uncyclopedia is a humorous parody of Wikipedia, containing entries that strive to be entirely misinformational. It has over 20,000 articles and more than half a million front-page hits, making it, according to very carefully selected stats, bigger and more popular than a certain wiki concerned with Bill Shatner's toupee. Uncyclopedia is hosted by Wikia, but is a sista project rather than a Wikicity proper, being hosted on a separate domain and utilizing the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-SA license rather than the GFDL. No one at Uncyclopedia knows what these letters mean. They just chose a different license to be contrary.

Uncyclopedia has various elements that imitate Wikipedia's sister projects, including UnNews (parodying Wikinews), and large swathes of the site are devoted to in-house jokes such as "making up Oscar Wilde quotes." It has a splendid featured article setup to highlight the best pages the site has to offer, a featured image voting page to determine which original images will be shown on the front page, and a wide variety of categories organizing entries on every imaginable subject, from Kings of Iceland to the creation of the United States of Canada to the politics and history of the Disney Empire.

There are full-fledged spinoffs of Uncyclopedia in German, French and Polish, as well as many limited namespaces for other languages within Uncyclopedia proper, including Russian, Spanish and Blog.

Memory Alpha is a comprehensive, reliable and up-to-date encyclopedia that covers information about the Star Trek universe. Despite a stringent canon policy, it is one of the largest projects hosted by Wikia. Because it is released under the Creative Commons license, however, Memory Alpha is considered a sister project of Wikia.

Memory Alpha has a regular Article of the Week selected from among its featured articles as well as a rich set of templates, comprehensive timelines from both the in-universe and behind-the-scenes perspectives, a Reference Desk for general questions related to Star Trek and a dedicated group of Archivists. It has recently begun to cover Trek-related things, such as parodies, as well.

Memory Alpha is currently available in English, German, Dutch and Swedish. A Polish version was once planned but never came to fruition.

The Doom Wiki Wikia is for fans of the Doom series of computer games. It covers every aspect of the game: monsters, levels (including maps), weapons, powerups and more.

The site includes in-depth technical information. It has information about different source ports and mods available for Doom. It has cheat codes and easter eggs clearly marked.

Doom Wiki was one of the first Wikia created (January 6th, 2005). It now has over 800 pages, and over 30 pages in the user namespace. There are a variety of features to support the development of community, including the Central Processing page, a news board and links to a set of IRC channels.

The Mozilla Community Wikia has recently dealt well with a surge of vandalism caused by being linked to from Slashdot. The wiki is welcoming to new users, with a community portal and chat page. The community have made good use of templates and have 20 categories.

As well as a lot of content, such as useful search plugins, the wiki includes all of the essential administrative pages, including disclaimers, copyright information, and an "about" page.

The wiki features a custom logo which was selected through a community vote.

The Althistory Wikia is an interesting collection of virtual or alternative histories, asking the question how human history would have been affected if certain things had gone differently. The current list of histories includes scenarios like "In 1950, Gaitán is elected president of Colombia".

The wiki, with 350 pages, has been growing rapdily since its inception in January, and the community are looking forward to growth. It already makes extensive use of templates and categories. The wiki has a very welcoming home page, explaining the goals of the site, and how newcomers can contribute. It was reported as being interesting and fun to read when it was nominated for Wikia of the week.

The Calgary Wikia allows residents and visitors of Calgary, Alberta to share their knowledge about things to do, places to be, organizations and anything else related to Calgary. Currently the best Wikia within the "places" category, this wiki has more content than its neighbor wikis, such as those focusing on the communities of Pacific Northwest, Boppard and Las Vegas.

Calgary's Wikia was founded in December, 2004, and has made good use of categorization for their articles on attractions, venues, sports teams, restaurants and other local information. The wiki's navigation has been modified to include a regularly updated calendar of local events.

The Wiki Information Project for Macintosh Users, or WikiMac, is a free, open information knowledgebase about everything related to the Apple Macintosh. WikiMac is available in more languages than any other Wikia, with versions in Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

CocoaZen, who nominated WikiMac for featured Wikia, feels Wikimac is very welcoming and encouraging to new users. The sites make good use of templates and categories. They have been promoted to external organizations, such an Mac User groups, and had an on-site reporter during a recent Macintosh conference. The wiki has lots of seed postings and current news stories are added to the wiki on an almost daily basis. Comments from Wikians suggested WikiMac is "another inspirational site" and a "great example of what we could be doing".

An inspirational, showcase wiki that reflects well on Wikia as a whole, Creatures Wiki is the clear leader in both contributors and article count.

GreenReaper attributes the wiki's success, which includes high rankings in search engines and Alexa, to good seed posting, enticing news postings, and extensive advertisement in related forums. He recommends keeping forum threads active by linking to new content, as well as inviting foreign participation.

Making good use of CSS modifications and many images, the site's Creatures theme is emphasised and enhanced throughout. The community have proven skilled at deflecting conflict away from articles, and have involved new members by explicitly rejecting a policy against vanity pages.
