Wikia - creating communities

Here's a sample Welcome template that you can use to welcome new contributors to your wiki. Cut and paste this onto a page called "Template:WelcomeIP". Customize the text to fit your wiki's attitude and style. You can find the code of this at w:Sample Welcome template?action=edit&section=1

When new contributors show up as IP addresses, add this to their talk pages by typing {{welcomeIP}}. Don't forget to sign it, so they know who you are! (If they've already signed in, you use a different welcome template, which many Wikia have already.)
