[edit] Using the Resources of the Central Wikia
Many basic pages need to be created when a new Wikia begins. This can be a lot for someone who is new to MediaWiki and who really requested the new Wikia because of an interest in the content area. Since this Central [[Wikia:|Wikia]] is here to coordinate and support the rest of the Wikia, it already contains much of the needed content. So especially in new Wikia, the content could refer back to pages here. Once the new Wikia gets going, participants can always tailor this start-up content.

[edit] Sandbox
Create the Wikia template with a template for the sandbox and have a sandbox page that consists of the template.

The pages being edited by default have a link to Help:Editing. Put a link to the Central Help:Tutorial#Editing or something like the following:
For information about how to edit, please see the tutorial, especially the section on editing.
If you'd like to try out the editing feature or practice some formatting techniques, please do it in the sandbox rather than in an article.
The main help link (on the navigation) could have a reference link to the tutorial as well.
OR
Redirect the navigation help link to the help category where most of the help pages will be. Create the help category and include the Help:Editing page.

The Project:Copyrights notice has already been adjusted. On all new Wikia it reads, "All contributions to Wikia are released under the GNU Free Documentation License. See Wikia copyrights for details."

Since this page is also on the main navigation panel, it should probably have some start-up content. Suggestions?

It would be nice if there were templates for images {{GFDL}}, {{PD}} already supplied with a new Wikia.
