The community portal is intended as a start page for community members. Please help build the page to make sure it is as useful as possible for all contributors. You may like to look at Wikipedia's version for some ideas on what might go here.

[edit] statistics-problem
Maybe something with statistics in the wikia-hosted wikis goes wrong, some of them seem to be very huge:
- "there are 18,446,744,073,709,515,700 pages that are probably legitimate content pages"

[edit] New design
Wikia's new main page proposal is more focused on visitors and newcomers wanting to find out about Wikia and learn the basics of getting started and making a wiki. My aim for the Community portal is to have a community home page that is aimed at the more involved members of the community who know all those basics and want to take the next step. This page will point them to interesting places within the Wikia world and help them find new things to and new places to go. For example, featured wikis and volunteer tasks will be listed here. - Hi Angela, I suggest focus in Translation section. Maybe a tutorial teaching how to translate the areas of wikia. I saw this Translations, but I didnt understand how to improve my language interface. Artfikan 01:00, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

If I edit on the IP address I get the following message:
'Warning: The liberal Jew-run media has infiltrated Wikiality, and forced us to allow anonymous editing. The Surgeon General has ordered us to warn you that editing anonymously can cause birth defects, cancer, increased risk of stroke, and revealing your IP address. Please log in if you wish to hide your IP address.'
This is (a) racist, (b) contains incorrect medical information, (c) likely to cause offense to people who come across, and (d) cause a referral of Wikia to race relations and other bodies.
