Wikia - creating communities

[edit] English

The English-language India Wikia needs more contributors.

There are three listed admins. Its founder has made no contributions. The other ordinary bureaucrat has made only one edit in the last year, about the same record as on the Genealogy Wikia, which he founded; he's concentrating on the Pakistan Wikia. The remaining admin is listed as "Staff" but is not identifiable (by me) on the Staff page here; his or her contributions have been declining to reach less than one per month: http://india.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Contributions/Bhadani.

The non-admin contributing community is extremely small. Most times I visit the site, the Recent changes are dominated by Dore chakravarty, the retired engineer in his mid-80s who is also one of the mainstays of the Engineering Wikia.

There are a billion people living in India, of which I believe a few hundred million speak English. Why is there such a tiny percentage of you contributing?
