Wikia - creating communities

English wiki wont work.

The url used to be http://en.kirby.wikia.com but it was changed to http://kirby.wikia.com I'll fix the links. ~Dantman^(talk) tricks May 25, 2007 _@ 00:16 ^(UTC)

I see no point of having English wikis on xxx.wikia.com when rest of language versions are under (language code).xxx.wikia.com. And here, where's older Spanish version, it looks even more oddly. Szoferka 06:15, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Agreed, I don't care if the Spanish one is kirby or es.kirby, but as the English one is newer, I think it would be better having that at en.kirby. kirby.wikia.com should possibly be a portal page linking to en. and es.. – Smiddle / talk 13:22, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

To make it simpler, we're putting all English wikis at the main URL rather than en.whatever just to increase the ease of linking. In the future, we're looking into ways of making all URLs shorter. For example, a Spanish wiki could be name.wikia.com/es/Title instead of es.name.wikia.com/wiki/Title. Angela ^talk 22:48, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
