Talk:Protoscience
Wikia - creating communities
[edit] From Proposed wikis
The wikicities science category lists protoscience as a subtopic. I am thinking about trying to start a protoscience wikicity that would cover all protosciences. I think a protoscience wiki might be useful for many people who are interested in protosciences because protosciences are often excluded from main-stream science, creating demand for a means by which people who are interested in protoscience can collaborate. Personally, I have a particular protoscience that I would like to explore by way of a wiki. I have posted some details about this at my userpage. I am thinking that the protoscience wiki would explicitly try to avoid pseudoscience, which seems more suited for the existing Alternative Science wikicity. JWSchmidt 19:29, 3 Apr 2005 (EDT)
- As long as there is not too much overlap between this and Alternative Science, it seems a good idea for a wiki. Angela 22:23, 3 Apr 2005 (EDT)
- Another possibility would be to add protoscience topics to the Future wikicity. The main page there says it will cover "overviews of future progress in specific areas of the future, such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, artificial intelligence." It is not clear if Paranoid would want protoscience in Future, since the examples listed are established branches of science. JWSchmidt 22:55, 3 Apr 2005 (EDT)
