The "How to use this License for your documents" part is removed. Is that considered part of "this license document"? – Jello2 22:31, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
[edit] switch to CC-SA?
Now that Wikipedia is switching licenses, are Wikia wikis considering the same? There isn't much time to make the switch - the license clause allowing this to happen smoothly expires as of August 1 this year (after when all GFDL content will be incompatible with Wikipedia; though GFDL sites will still be able to import old Wikipedia content). - Hi Sj! Nice to see you 'round these parts. :) We've been discussing it for a couple of weeks at Forum:Licensing update, and we've been following the Wikimedia vote closely. We'll be discussing it more with our communities soon, but so far it looks like most of our wikis are agreeable to the move, other than a few with special licensing needs. Good news all around for proponents of free cultural works! — Catherine
