Wikia - creating communities

To use this template, type {{copyvio|URL=http://example.com}} where example.com is the place the text was copied from.

This template is based on Wikipedia:Template:Copyvio, with the part about users being blocked removed since this appears overly harsh for Wikicities at a time when such infractions are still so rare. Angela 22:08, 6 Feb 2005 (PST)

I second that. It's much easier to say something like {{copyvio|a website}} then {{copyvio|URL=a website}} ~~~~

Ok. I've changed it now. I just did it like this since people may be familiar with the template at Wikipedia which uses the url= format. Angela (talk) 18:00, 20 May 2005 (UTC)

So, in other words, this template is itself a copyvio, as it doesn't give attribution to the Wikipedia editors who created it. May I remind folks that Wikia has no right to use Wikipedia content without abiding by the GFDL, the same as everyone else. --Kingboyk 13:41, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
