Wikia - creating communities
The toki pona encyclopedia is a Wikia which started life as a Wikipedia. This encyclopedia in the constructed language of toki pona was felt to be unsuited to the goals of the Wikimedia Foundation and was moved to Wikia in December 2004.
The toki pona language was designed by Sonja Elen Kisa in accordance with a Daoist philosophy, and first published online in mid-2001. It is a minimal language with just 118 words.

Following an agreement made with the toki pona community prior to the move from Wikimedia to Wikia, the toki pona encyclopedia will never include advertising whilst it is hosted at Wikia.
This wiki is a sister project to the Klingon encyclopedia which is another rejected Wikipedia project.
