Wikia - creating communities

Greyman @ Wikia

"Cocooned civilian life never let you find out what you could really do or pushed you hard enough to understand exactly who you were.
It was a terrible thought that so many people could die having lived around the half-full level, never knowing more, never trying more.
And there was no second chance. This was the only life you ever got.

Who in the world am I, you ask?

I'm Greyman, and I'm an administrator here on Central Wikia and I have lookupcontribs permissions for the whole of Wikia; so if you suspect vandalism or spamming on the site or elsewhere, feel free to contact me to get it verified and/or spam phrases blocked.

I'm a long time Wikia user and have worked with Wikia as a both a Helper and Janitor at various points of time. These days I can be found editing at Duty & Valour, Canada's Military History Encyclopedia a Wikia which I founded in early 2009.

If you need help here on Central, or on your home wiki, please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll respond as soon as I get the message.

My Wiki-editing Principles

"The hallmark of a well-managed organization is not the absence of problems, but whether or not problems are effectively resolved."

  • Understand both sides of a situation before dispensing your wisdom.
  • Demand and maintain integrity from both others, and yourself.
  • Stay optimistic—don't let other's negative attitudes ruin your wiki-time.
  • Always try to be objective and seek fact based information before making decisions, whether small or large.
  • Insist on accountability from yourself and others for responsibilities and commitments.
  • Don't let others, or the crowd, dictate to you what your opinions should be.
  • Achieve success through teamwork and integrity.
  • Earn respect though being respectful of others.
  • Realize and understand when you're wrong—don't be afraid to admit it.
  • Do what you know is right, even if you know others may disagree with you.
  • Never let other's insecurities about themselves stop you from voicing your own opinion.
  • Do your best to always practise these principles, and help others where need be.
