Wikia - creating communities

Phlox has built metadata templates to implement a structured wiki solution for problems in the genealogy domain (large amounts of tabular statistical data). A major challenge in the coming decades will be the volume of fine granularity microhistory articles accumulated in a multilingual global family history wiki.

Familypedia uses Semantic mediawiki software in novel ways to support multilingual contributor communities as well as provide a rich dataset accessible for client side processing via javascript and Ajax.
