So here I am, want to give wikia a try, and find that my second query (for JOSM, the Java Openstreetmap editor), doesn't list the most appropriate links at all. To improve the search results, I am told to create a mini-article. So that's what I do, including a short description and links to relevant pages. Along comes administrator Charitwo and deletes the article without comment. Guess what project I'm not putting any more effort into.

I am new to Wikia and was trying out the new search program. Set up my profile, and noticed that there is a link for a "Mini Article About 'Jerry E. Bartram'"
It said it should not be a "blog" or "spam". I used a aricle I wrote to help families that are faced with a sudden job loss. in todays world this happens all too often.

Hello. Wikia has no control over channels that don't begin with #wikia-, so I can't gain control of #ffxi which doesn't seem to be related to either the wiki or Wikia. #ffxiclopedia is an unofficial channel, so whoever owns that is the one who can deal with such issues, but they would probably need to submit a form to freenode in order to get recognition of that channel. - I've just spoken to nalioth and he said a new GCF would need to be submitted since the ffxi channels are not part of Wikia. I suggest ganiman deals with this himself and becomes the group contact for the unofficial ffxi channels since he's already the owner (not wikia) of #ffxiclopedia. I've seen no reason for Wikia to take over control of #ffxiclopedia. If a Wikia channel is needed, anyone can create a new one at #wikia-ffxi which automatically falls under Wikia and is covered by the existing GCFs that have been submitted. Well, he was warned multiple times to not upload images (even in French), but he continued doing so anyway, which led me to assume that either he is a bot or he doesn't care. Anyway, the images were not only irrelevant, but I confirmed their source and they are definately copyrighted, so that's a copyvio as well as having no use anywhere; which really makes it become more of a "speedy" than a simple "proposed deletion". --Skizzerz talk 21:51, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

I made 2 pages today and they both deleted and i'm not sure why. it said a comment by you saying "use userspace". i already made one. the thing is, a few friends of mine have pages describing themself as a writer (the userspace) and one that talks about themselves as a smash bros player. for example gimpyfish and nealdt. they are friends of mine who both have a userspace and a smashers profile type thing. i was just trying to do the same and put my one the "Nevada smashers" page. i'm kinda new to the writing thing so if i was doing something wrong please let me know so i can make sure i dont do so in the future. if there's anything you can do to help me it would be very much appreciated. the other page i tried to make was one for my crew, Hyrulution X. it says you moved it to gunsol/hyrulution x or something like that. i was only trying to add my crew with the other, not to spam or anything like that. once again, if i wasn't follow the right steps or if i handled it wrong, please let me know. thanks in advance. -Gunsol

Hey, I got banned or something when i blanked my own page, dead babies illness. I did this because i thought of a better name for the page, and its now titled dead baby syndrome. I found out later that you can just switch the names, but i would appreciate if you could spare me a little mercy as i haven't been on this site very long. All of the material for both dead babies illness and dead baby syndrome are original, and i entered them through my user, m3s3dup. thanks, m3s3dup.

if you check out the history on Pikazilla's[1] page, you can see that there used to be a huge list of random theories. last i checked, this kind of stuff wasn't allowed on smasher pages as it was unrelated to a basic biography or play style. every time i try to take it out, User:Pikazilla[2] puts it back in and complains about people editing "his" page. this had happened at least three times, twice since SmashWiki and the Smash Bros Wikia merged. rather than have an edit war, can you intervene and, if needed, temp-block him? thanks! I feel like there's been a huge amount of vandalism lately. Just now, I cleared out a bunch of eye-raping pornographic vandalism. Wouldn't it improve things to require people to register before they can edit? While vandalism would still happen, I feel like it'll dissuade vandals if they have to register. The effort to register, give an e-mail address, wait for the e-mail, and use an activation code should stop most vandals. People would really have to try to vandalize, and even then, we can ban just that one user and keep track of their e-mail address. Just my two cents. - I highly advise against that, it would also discourage legit contributors as well. Is the pornographic material just URLs? - I don't think it will let you subst, but I do think you can do regular ol' transclusion. This is mainly just for cross-wiki user templates, if you do more than that, it could slow things down. Like I put mine as {{Wikia:User:Charitwo}} and that makes Template:User:Charitwo appear on wikis I visit. --CharitwoTalk 22:18, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

- Have you made attempts to contact these individuals? It's generally not recommended to desysop others because of inactivity because there is really no need to remove the rights unless they are being abused, because it's not hurting or harmful to anything. - I have, for the past 3 months in fact. No answer whatsoever has been received from any of the other Admins. Other than their inactivity, which is incredibly long, there is no reason. I feel that being the most active Admin. on the Wikia I know who is/is not active. The Admins. in question have no edits whatsoever and have been inactive for at least 2 months prior to my adoption of the Wikia about 2-3 months ago through contacting Angela. - Hi KrazyKat. I do not handle adoption requests. I do have advice though, there is a lot of work that can be done on that wikia as a regular user before being given admin access. I see you were given admin and bureaucrat access at the Crash Bandicoot wikia in the last 60 days, which would make you ineligible for adoption. Hi Charitwo, Thanks for your offer of help. The issue I'm having with word wrap it that is works differently now this weef as opposed to last. I can no longer count on text that I am entering to wrap around in the exit window while entering it, and as a result I have many text entry errors. It makes editing difficult. I must move the left edge of the window to resize it, several times.

OK Googleplex are a group of thousands of stories that i have made. Millions. But due to money problems they haven't hit store's yet. They start with the very first story of a man called stick man and the story's called 'stick man' and there's about 40-50 storys on him, then he gets frozen for a million years and gets unfrozen in the future where stick and dots are at war. Stick man is given a test to complete for a job, and guess what, he some how got the job of Commander of the stick ( the rest are killed.) So there are a few hundred stories of the wars titled 'stick wars'. then of course dots win and earth is evacuated, and the sticks retreat. they find this rip in there galaxy, they enter to find the huge galaxy of googleplex.
Googleplex galaxy.
The googleplex galaxy is a made up universe in the Stick Man trilogy, mostly its vice-versa as really all of the stick man episodes and stick wars are linked to the googleplex galaxy. Mostly the sticks are one of the last civilization to find out about googleplex in the series next to the humans and other unrelated civilizations that appear time to time. The googleplex galaxy is like a huge gate way to millions of universes, due to this, colony's have started here, nobody knows how i got there or how made it, just that its right in the middle of everything!!! Those because of this many wars start in googleplex, and that means that the army is involved. the googleplex has its own army of nine hundred trillion soldiers and many many vehicles, to tanks and ships, to warthogs and submarines. Due to the fact that googleplex is so big, and many want to live here, the googleplex government created planets in googleplex, googleplex can hold up to one gazillion planets. so now entire species live in googleplex, abandoned there old planet due to war and corruption and made to googleplex, where it is safe and secure, most of the time.
so yeah that's googleplex, i made the wikia tho the many fans wanting info on this epic saga. currently there are animations of them on youtube. Search Tinyjoshua (user) to find them, please accept Googleplex for a wikia, it needs it!!!

Hey Charitwo, it's MG. Can I have some help? I've been blocked on SmashWiki. I think it's a mistake, an accident, etc. You see, C. Hawk blocked that User Squallinoa (the guy who made that Smash Arena forum, remember?), for claiming ownership of psges, profanity against sysops, etc. I've been blocked because we apparently use the same IP adress. I don't even know if he lives in my state! Can you get somebody to help me (since you're not a sysop anymore)? I left a message on my talk page, but I think it'll be a while before anybody notices. - Autoblocks are recorded in Special:Ipblocklist, not Special:Log/block. And entries in Special:Ipblocklist only show active blocks. That would be why. :) --CharitwoTalk 18:23, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Um, this is just out of curiosity, but how did you make your sig like that? I checked the format, but it doesn't say color, highlight, etc. You can answer this whenever you have the time. You see, I made my SmashWiki User page into a table (in a box, but that's it). I want my background black (it already is), but I put Users' names in black too (if they have yet to give me a color that symbolizes them). - There used to be a per-page hit counter at the bottom of every page, but I believe it was removed due to server load issues. You can, however, as an alternative get an idea of how many hits each page gets viewed in a cached version at Special:Mostvisitedpages. Wikia is a much friendlier community than those stuck up individual sites. By the way, I have a different account name for Bulbapedia, and I saw it all.
