Wikia - creating communities
Welcome to the Central Wikia!
We are a friendly community here, most of us active on an individual Wikia or more than one. Use the Community Portal to ask for help.
Please keep an eye on the recent changes to see what the community is up to and to help reverse spam and vandalism. And look at the overall organisation starting at Category:Browse.
If you have ideas for a new Wikia, please add a paragraph under an appropriate heading on proposed wikis.
Enjoy! --Slade 20:43, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

What version of Python are you using? The pywikipedia framework isn't compatible with version 3.0, so if that's the version you're trying to use, you'll need to switch to version 2.6. Anyway, the login.py script (among others) should work without modifications once you've got a compatible version of the Python interpreter. - Adan Aileron (talk) 00:39, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks Adan, I'll reinstall Python and get on that and let you know here if that was indeed the issue.
- It does work now! Just got to figure out why I'm getting password error (I wish I could see the password as I type it). I kept the 'en' in as part of the third turn, is that the issue or is it just something silly I have done? --DaNASCAT 01:21, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- It could be that the script path isn't set correctly in the family file (should be "
/" on Wikia wikis), or (as Manticore mentioned earlier on his own talk page) you may need to set the bot account's default skin to MonoBook. As long as the 'en' in your user config matches the one in the family file, that should be ok, though I'm not sure what you mean by "third turn". - Adan Aileron (talk) 01:45, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
