[edit] Russian Central Wikia

The creation of a ru.wikia is an excellent idea! Will you will have help from some other good users who can help to translate it and protect it from vandals? — Catherine (talk) 17:03, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

I have created it for you at http://ru.wikia.com, and made both you and Roman admins. Rieke and Angela suggest that MaxSem may also be interested in helping out. Please tell us if you need any staff help, and let us know immediately if anyone causes trouble there.

Would you also be interested in translating pages for a Russian starter wiki? http://starter.wikia.com contains a basic main page and many help pages that can be imported into an English wiki when it is created. I could create ru.starter. Could you and Roman create or translate the pages in Russian, so that founders of new Russian wikis have some help pages to start with? — Catherine (talk) 05:44, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

OK -- I will make ru.starter. Question: Do you want me to create it with the English "starter" pages in it that you can translate, or would it be easier for you to start with an empty wiki? — Catherine (talk) 23:29, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

OK - http://ru.starter.wikia.com is available, and I have imported the English starter pages. Please move them, replace them, delete them, or translate them as you feel best. You can see de.starter to see what Rieke has done for German speakers. Feel free to add information about where to get help from Russian speakers, as we don't yet have anyone who speaks Russian on staff.

Remember that ALL pages in that wiki will be copied to every new Russian wiki (when you tell us you are ready). That includes your talk pages, so it is probably better to talk to each other on ru.wikia or elsewhere.
