Thanks for the welcome. But I need your urgent help. Since no one seems to help expand my MotorStorm Wiki, you might need to contact Sony, since they made MotorStorm and is currently making the sequel and visit and help my Wikia out. I forget exactly where I was when making that comment about disclaimers and links on every page. I certainly can't see them in Cologne Blue here on Central. But when one clicks on "Terms of use" one gets a page with a policies panel that includes Disclaimers. The first paragraph of the page that it gives you is :
Individual Wikia may have their own disclaimers. Please see the disclaimers link at the end of each page on the relevant wiki.
I looked for a random example and found it very quickly on Wikifur, top right (which is not "at the end"!):

- Printable version | Disclaimers | Privacy policy
See http://furry.wikia.com/wiki/WikiFur:General_disclaimer for the target.
You can probably dig out the solution much faster than I can. Ask if you want me to help further.

I don't understand all of your response on my talk page. But I agree with the last bit and totally agree that it will be good "if the link can directly be modified via mediawiki messages to point to central, instead of having nearly every page to point to a page that simply tells people to go to another page". Hi! I saw your offer to help on our admin's page over at http://darkhorizons.wikia.com and there's an issue that's been plaguing me, so I thought I'd see if you know the answer!
On our thumbnailed images, we get a buffer of white space - my assumption is that this is to force room for the picture and that it really should be the color of our background, but I have no idea how one changes this (although I've seen other wikis using the same skin that don't have this thumbnail problem, such as http://diablo.wikia.com). Any idea? An example is on http://darkhorizons.wikia.com/wiki/Republic_Guard.

Hello, first of all, thank you to offer your help to our wiki and forgive me about my realy bad english ^^!. I need some help with a thing... i found an interesting aplication on inet, MapLib, this let you, and everyone, to edit Maps Markers in a online picture, and add it to your website by a <iframe>. This will be usefull to me, to add some Game Maps on my wikia, and let users to edit comments as: NPC Positions, Monsters Spawn Points, etc. I asked in chat to add an iframe on wikia and said to me that is only posible by javascript editing Common.js but i dont know how to do it work correctly, can you help me with this?

[edit] maintaining a database of items
One question we couldn't solve is this. The game has about 1000 items and we'd like to avoid retyping the same information multiple times. Would it be possible to create some kind of repository (something like a database, maybe just a very long article in a certain format). That repository would contain all the information, and any other article that needs it would just look it up from there?
For instance, we might have item #424, type: ttt, name: xxx, value: yyy, power: zzz, etc. Then in some article, we'd like to create a list of all items of type ttt, and with just their names and values - so we'd grab that info from the "repository".
Of course, if we could use a sql database that would take care of it, but since that is probably not realistic, do you know of any tricks to achieve the same goal?

I think Game Dev Wiki is inactive. I would like to adopt it and in sometime, when I have written a bunch of articles, I would appreciate you to unprotect the main page, for me to link to my new articles.
Also, I read you said to Swirl bureaucrat, on his talk page:

I am the founder of the RoboWar wiki, and one of my goals is to put together the Instruction Reference, which is basically an appendix of each call, what it does, and how it works.
There are maybe 50-100 different entries for the reference, and I'd like to know if there's any kind of automated or semi-automated method for creating many pages without having to click on a link to an uncreated page, type in things, save, click on a link, type in things, save, click on a link, type in things, save...
Is there any way to take a file, and have the wiki add pages according to the file's content? For example,
... ====SWAP==== Name: Swap Kind: Operator ===Conditions=== Takes two items Returns two items ===Pseudocode=== Read the first and second items off the stack Remove the first and second items off the stack Place the first item onto the stack Place the second item onto the stack //** end of page marker, new page begins... **// ====SYNC==== Name: Sync Kind: Operator ===Conditions=== ...
If there is some kind of alternate way to do an automated or multi batch page creation, this could save me about two hours of work and let me focus on more interactive and engaging topics.

My first question (of many I imagine) as I set the new wiki up, but looking to my main page c:oxfordchess it says Oxford Chess Wiki at the top of the main section, whilst (for example) c:muppet has no such title. Just a minor point, but one I haven't been able to fix...
