Hello, I was wondering if I could have a Wiki spotlighted. It's called The Conduit Wiki, which is about a video game called The Conduit that will be released on June 23, 2009. Do you think it could be spotlighted around that date? I know the rules say that it needs 100 articles, but there isn't enough info on the game because it has not been released. I've noticed that a lot of staff members (i.e you, among others) have those templates for your userpage which means they can all be edited from one place and its easy to create one. Are these only for Staff members or can these be used by all members? and how exactly do they work?

Hi, I'm hoping that Ghostbusters Wiki can again be spotlighted. The Video Game is coming out on June 16th along with the Blu-Ray version of the first movie. A lot of promotional items are also coming out in June/July. I'm hoping maybe a picture of the game in play would be used for the spotlight. Anyways thanks for your time. As seen here, Link, from The Legend Of Zelda has been appearing as an icon representing new changes on the Sonic Wiki's forums. This is something new, and it's been bothering users. Hi, first off I'm sorry if you're the wrong person to ask (and if you are could you tell me who to got to) but who makes the spotlight images? If it is you, I wonder if you could help (when and if you have the time) to customize the skin on the GA wiki to have an image on it (like wwww.lost.wikia.com, their image is this [1]). I'd love a Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice one but have absolutely no skill at making fan art and even if I did, our skins are different so I don't know where I'd place it. Good question! It's in the engineering queue, but I'm not sure when it'll get done. I'm sorry that I don't have any better information to give you than that... I'm not really sure if you'll know, but your the most knowledgeable when it comes to wikis and your staff so your my best shot at a good answer, how exactly does a category structure work on a fanon wiki? I was thinking about working on the Spyro Fanon wiki, but with all my wiki work I like to keep the wiki neat and categorized, but i'm not sure how I can accomplish this with a Fanon wiki.

Do you have any advice?

Its not updating, Its been like this for a week now and i've noticed it across multiple wiki's. Is this problem going to get fixed or should we (and by 'we' I mean admins of wiki's) just remove the featured user list from the sidebar?

Awww, I'm gonna miss you on Skype! I didn't realize that people who create avatars aren't getting welcomes -- we've only got a few wikis that use avatars right now, so it just didn't occur to me. Great! I'm glad you like the Ghostbusters spotlight. Your wiki is awesome, and I'm happy that it's getting attention. Remind me in June to make sure that we put up the spotlight then...

There are a few different people who make the spotlight pictures, and they get made whenever those people have time to make a new batch, so unfortunately the timing can be kind of random. We've had a backlog lately, and we're working through 'em... -- Danny (talk) 05:27, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Hey, I have a problem with my sidebar; it always comes up with the wikicentral default sidebar on my account on all wikis, even those which have their own custom sidebar. I've tried to match my own personal sidebar to that of the wikis', but it only sets things right temporarily. What should I do to fix this? Be glad for an answer.

Hello there. I know you must be busy, but I have a question about requests for adminship. On the Artemis Fowl wiki, we have created a special Requests for Adminship page so that users can use that page to request adminship and then, if a user gets enough Support or yes votes, they can ask an admin on the Central Wiki to make them an admin. (Artemis Fowl wiki doesn't have a current admin with these capabilities, so we had to do it this way.) I have a request on that page and currently have 4 Support votes and 1 Strong Support vote (no Deny votes). I am the most active user on the Artemis Fowl wiki and I think that I could do a lot of good with admin powers. Can you make me an admin or do I need even more votes? I've posted there a while back. They say that the Artemis Fowl wiki isn't an inactive wiki and that there is one active admin, User:C Teng. This is all true. We have no less than five to ten edits every day (most by me, though :oD!). C Teng is pretty active (I say this giving him the benefit of the doubt). He tells me that he doesn't have the power to give out admin rights and that the only user who did was User:KFan II, now retired from editing. --Howdychicken (Talk to me) 00:35, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

By the way, I see that you've also been posting on the wiki under several sockpuppet accounts -- Holly Short, Turtlenecks, C Teng. and Wise Guy. Many of the votes for both you and McLovinn are from your sockpuppet accounts. I will admit that was wrong. I created the accounts because I didn't want to be confined to a certain personality to throw other users off. Hi Danny, lately I have been very active, on Hot Wheels, and I emailed Kenny the group admin., by which not seen hardly anyone lately there. The reason I have emailed him, and I know your responses in the past about images. What I have notice that he feels is important, and told me to address the issue with someone higher than him, or Brad. When I upload images, for example, that are copyrighted by Mattel. everything that I type in the summary isn't showing up for them, or me under, Recent. Fantazim 09:53, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

After I got your message, I posted another small comment on the forum page about the new edit windows. Like i said there, the only thing i would like is been able to turn off vertical sizing of the text area for me only and Wikia wide. The vertical sizing is an important part of the feature. That's the thing that makes the save bar appear above the edge of the screen. Unfortunately, the feature isn't really designed for someone who's using as large a screen as you are. -- Danny (talk) 07:29, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I was wondering if you could switch around my user rights on CSI and Terminator Wikis? Like remove my B'crat on CSI and put it on Terminator. I decided to focus my efforts on terminator, especially with our new homepage design rollout. (if you haven't seen it yet, what do you think?). I'd like to make the code more efficient and less clutter by moving all the inline styles to an external style sheet. Also tweak some stuff in MediaWiki later on. Hi! There isn't a single rule about spotlights; they're handled on an individual basis. In general, a spotlight that gets a lot of clicks will stay up for longer, and a spotlight that doesn't get clicked on much will be taken off sooner. It also depends on whether there's something special coming up -- a new game release or a contest or something. Yeah. I should have replied sooner, but I've been quite busy. Anyway, a month or two ago, a spotlight request for the UnRuneScape Wiki was approved. It's still on the waiting list now. A few days ago, I noticed that new Wikis had been given spotlights, though they weren't mentioned on the actual spotlight page.
