Wikia - creating communities

Wikia Staff are employees or contractors of Wikia, Inc.. Wikia's headquarters are in San Francisco, but many staff work remotely, located around the world so that we can provide support to the communities around the clock.

Signatures Wikia Staff use signatures on the wiki that link to this page (). Usually these are Community Team members, so you can check the validity of their signature on that page. If you're concerned that a non-staff member is using one, please let us know!

Other uses Some individual wikis may use the term "staff" to denote volunteers with particular roles on the wiki (similar to "admin" or "sysop"). This does not reflect any official link between those people and Wikia, Inc.

Community Team

The Wikia Staff you are most likely to come into contact with are the Wikia Community Team as they handle questions, create new wikis, and act as your liaison to the technical and other staff. You can find out all about them on the Community Team page.

The Community Team are Staff who can help with any issues on any Wikia site.

Angela Beesley Starling is the co-founder of Wikia and is located in Sydney, Australia. She's the person to contact if you want to move your wiki to Wikia.	Sannse Carter focuses on providing in-depth support to Wikia's largest wikis. Sannse also has a "Blog of Interesting Things".
Juan David Ruiz (Zuirdj) speaks Spanish, English, and Portuguese, and understands some Italian and French.	Catherine Munro is the main contact for the creation of new wikis.
Chris Stafford (Uberfuzzy) lends support to many different teams and projects, and is often found helping the community with technical wiki problems. Chris helps keep Wikia a clean place for everyone.	Tim Bartel (Avatar) is Wikia's Country Manager for Germany. He is the main contact person for the German Wikia Community.
Kyle Harmon (KyleH) spends much of his time on gaming wikis, but also helps support the rest of the community, as well as Wikia's content and product teams.	Sarah Manley can be found on the central as well as many lifestyle wikis. She is focused on assisting the community with their needs, so feel free to contact her with questions, comments and requests.

Technical Team

The Wikia Technical Team keeps our servers running smoothly, monitors the sites for problems, and continually works on new features. The best way to report problems or bugs to them is via Special:Contact. This ensures the problem is properly tracked.
