Wikia - creating communities
Some more ideas for this page:
- Jewels. Running from, say, garnet to diamond. Gives plenty of scope for levels.
- Trophies. Bronze, silver and gold again, maybe with "super gold" or another category to go on top.
- Fish. OK, that's a bit strange, but why not? Different fish for different levels.
- Birthday cake, with candles for years on wikia. (first cake at 6 months without candles)
And presented for:
- Edit count. The jewels might work well for this one.
- Founding a wikia, getting x active users, getting the first x pages
- Years on wikia (see above)
Community awards:
- Perhaps larger awards (40 x 40px) awarded to the whole community.
- Article count,
- User count,
- Years active,
- The "being nice to newbies award"
- The "cross-wikia cooperation award"
- The "featured wikia award"

- Maybe instead of "Super Gold" a platinum of some sort, but it has to be noticeable enough to tell it apart from the silver star. (Btw, I know this is late, but whatever.) Fou-Lu 14:36, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Is this a dead topic? I notice nothing here in about a year, yet a recent post on the forums awoke this topic. I, for one, wish to remain in the shadows and not be recognised for "counts" (edit counts). I have found that people can be accused of "just trying to increase their numbers" by making edits or creating articles. I wish, therefore, to be excluded from all such lists. Is this possible? - Hey, there. Awards are only handed out by one user to another. If you helped someone with something, and that person wanted to say more than "thank you", they might (note, might) give you an award. You don't have to "opt out" of anything, since you or no one is entitled to any type of award right off the bat. Wikia:Awards is really just there in case someone wants to recognize another user for their efforts in something/anything :) Greyman(Talk) 15:41, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
