Boulder Dome concept art

In Van Buren (the canceled Fallout 3 by Black Isle), Boulder Dome, Dome City or Stone City is a scientific research facility designed to withstand a nuclear attack. All around it is the blasted remains of the city of Boulder, poisoned by radiation and toxic waste. Inside the dome is a desperate team of scientists infected with a strange disease and trying to keep their ZAX unit from cannibalizing it memory to such an extent that it stops working. Beset by glowing ghouls and a large pack of cannibal primitives, the dome faces extinction.

• 9 October 2008 - Bethesda Softworks has announced the Fallout 3 system requirements.
• 5 October 2008 - We have opened a Fallout 3 Portal and a Project V13 Portal here at The Vault.
• 23 September 2008 - Interplay has launched its new website. There, it has been announced that Chris Taylor has joined the development team of the MMORPG codenamed Project V13, headed by another member of the original Fallout team, Jason Anderson. • 18 September 2008 - the Prepare for the Future promotional website has been updated with 9 videos.
• 10 September 2008 - According to Edge Online, real-world drugs like morphine will be removed not only from the Australian edition of Fallout 3, but from all editions worldwide.
• 5 September 2008 - The BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) gave Fallout 3 the 18 rating in the UK.
• 5 September 2008 - According to Softpedia, the Fallout 3 downloadable content will be available quickly after the game's launch and will amount to ca. 7 hours of gameplay.
• 4 September 2008 - It's been announced that the PlayStation 3 version of Fallout 3 will not get trophies on launch, unlike the Xbox 360 and (probably) PC version, which will get achievements.
• 3 September 2008 - The Fallout 3 release date for Japan has been announced: December 4, 2008
• 1 September 2008 - List of Fallout 3 achievements has been revealed
• 21 August 2008 - Official Fallout 3 release date has been announced: October 28 for North America and October 31 for Europe
